Beautiful! I especially love the baby dress in the frame.

Ladybugger: I had a go at making a variation of those earrings, however I only had large hoops - so I had to stop before the end otherwise I'd look like i'm wearing a tablecloth on my ear. They'd work much better on a small hoop.

Here's a scan: (I've only made one earring, and I haven't put a hook on yet)

Here is another one i've been working on, i haven't even weaved the edges back in yet..oopsy

As for patterns, I don't really keep track of what I'm doing, and I made those first ones ages ago..hmm..I'll se eif I can remember these new ones if anyone wants?

3  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: I <3 COFFEE/TEA SWAP GALLERY! on: January 05, 2006 12:15:18 AM
Phew. I FINALLY got my package from francie-pants. Turns out the darn Australian Quarantine tore it apart - it was taped together with warning stickers etc, and they'd stolen 5 tea bags - and they want me to pay $42 AUS (About $60 US) for heat treatment to get them back!!!! Francie, I hope you don't mind, but i may have to let quarantine have them...I'm not too rich at the moment. I betcha they took it cos it's yummy and they wanted to drink it themselves.

Anyway, what quarantine did let me have was:
- a green, yellow and maroon knitted tea cosy (so cute, it fits my tea pot perfectly!)
- 2 matching coffee mup cosy's
- 3 Tazo Joy tea bags
- 3 Stash green tea bags
- a jar of Rishi 'Serene' Tea
- And cute christmas card!

Perfect for calming me down!!!! Thankyou so much Francie!!! I hope you get your stuff soon...and that the darn Quarantine didn't rip into it on its way out. There must be a tea and coffee addict working there.
4  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Re: christmas projects-- males, too on: November 23, 2005 02:04:48 AM
Ooh thats what I need too, christmas ideas! It's summer down here in australia though, so scarves and gloves won't go down too well.

I was thinking about making some stuffed toys or those A- thingys (i can't spell it, but they're the cute stuffed toys with big heads) for my friends, as well as some crochet earrings, and for my little god daughter a sun hat or a tunic (there was a cute pattern at lionbrand)

but as for my bf and my brother I don't know if I can think of anything guy-ish to crochet..maybe a wrist band? socks? cd wall hanger? ipod case?

I'm attempting this top too. I'm making two doilly's for each side, then I'll try making lots of little/beginning of doillies to go down the middle and join the two big ones...I'll have to shape it afterwards with a ribbon corset back or something. meh. I'll let you know how it goes!

I have been a bad, bad recipient. Here's my confession:

I recieved my november SC package a couple of weeks ago (speedy SC!!!) and I made the mistake of opening the package in front of my little cousins (did you know customs opened it before me? grr) anyway, once my cousins saw what was inside they grabbed it, and I didn't have the heart to make them give it back. So, here's what I got:

- two stuffed monsters
- a green fun fur mini scarf
- pink hair clips
- broach

forgive me if there was anything else that I've forgotten. My cousins absolutely LOVE the monsters and the scarf, AND and clips...leaving me with the broach, which I love! Smiley I was very close to having a tug of war with a 5 year old... "MY toy!" "No! MY toy!" heh. At least you can rest assured that everything has gone to a well loved home!!!

Thankyou so so so much SC! you've been wonderful, put so much effort into your packages, and been so quick!!
