21  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Alien Fascinator on: December 23, 2011 12:08:34 PM
I'm so excited that this is my first post here! I really didn't know where else to really put this. The "spaceship" part is made of slurpie lids, and the alien is made of felt fabric with googly-eyes hot glued to it!

22  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / First Sewn Dress!! on: November 13, 2011 04:14:05 PM
I've been sewing for a little over a year but I have to say that I don't think any of my projects were worthy until now! Since last October I had this beautiful turquoise acrylic silk stashed away for something very special. So finally during our family Thanksgiving feast (Thanksgiving in Canada is Oct.10), I was on gram's sewing machine. I swear, it was probably all that sugar from the pop, but I found enough courage to conjure up this.......

23  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Crocheted Vest With a Crazy Collar! on: November 13, 2011 04:06:34 PM
I had this idea thanks again to some pictures of Chanel Fall2011. This time here is a vest with a rather ruffly collar!

24  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Rose Poncho on: November 13, 2011 03:51:19 PM
Ever since I started crocheting, I've always aspired to make a poncho! So here she is! I was inspired to make this when I saw pictures of the Fall2011 collection from Chanel, there was this jacket with a cluster of roses on one shoulder that caught my attention. It's a little shoter than I'd like it to be but I like it anyway!

25  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Small Antenae Hat & Russian Domo! on: November 13, 2011 03:43:03 PM
Man oh man! It's been forever since I've even seen this site! It's good to be back! I've been perfecting my crocheting craft and I have so much to share! Recently I've been making 'animal ears' hats. I made a pink bear one for a friend and for myself, a butterfly's antenae (although truth be told, it was supposed to be bunny ears).

Here's a pic of the side:

Next hat is my domo inspired hat. The reason I call him Russian Domo is because the style of the hat is that of one of those flat topped Russian hats, or at least my friends say so Grin

26  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Mini Pink Top Hat on: July 26, 2011 06:26:49 PM
This has to be the quickest project I've ever made, and I'm ecstatic with the result!

I am the most proud of the rose!

It's not that big though! The hat kept sliding off my hat, so I sewed it to a hairband!

Hope you enjoyed it!
27  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Mista Octo on: July 08, 2011 06:13:02 PM
Last night I was making a hat. When I finished it I decided that it still needed some work done. The back of it seemed to look like the head of a very familiar mollusk. Y'all must know what I'm talking about, I mean Octopuses are everywhere on Craftster! So as of yesterday, one could say I've jumped on the bandwagon! Here is Mista Octo!

A little note: The above picture is the back of the hat!
28  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Dainty Little Purse on: July 05, 2011 07:36:59 PM
I know right? Complete opposite from my evil cupcake hairband! It would've been more cutesy, you see, I was very tempted to add little wings to the side. I did, but they were getting to be flimsy. so I folded them over, and they are now the white bow tie-looking things coming to the middle. Meh, it looks cutesy enough.  Wink

29  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / RABID CUPCAKE!!!!!! on: July 03, 2011 03:19:20 PM
This weekend I was racking my brain on what on earth I could do with all this brown and pink-brown-green-white yarn. The brown yarn has little specks of colour all over, which gives it a cake or cupcake batter look. I really didn't want to make another cupcake hat, so I decided to make a cupcake headband. There was no way my cupcake would be plain-jane, so I gave it a face, a rather evil face.....

Note to Self: Move carefully when he is upon the head, he may go rabid at any time!
30  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Arrete La Violence! on: June 04, 2011 07:51:14 PM
I was crocheting a hat for myself one day, and felt that closing the top off would be too "plain" (ugh!). So I decided to exercise my embroidery, and made something very dear to my heart....

Arrete la violence= Stop the violence!
