Hi all.. this is my very first post. (yay!) And I have to comment on how awesome this site is being a crafty person at heart myself.. that being said I'll move on to the actual topic of this post..
I'm very much interested in making my own clothes especially apron tops, panel skirts, and dresses. I guess it's sort of the new age Hippie style and I just love it. Here's some sites that sell their own stuff for examples http://www.goodkarmacreations.com
I am more interested in the simple panel or patchwork skirts tops..etc. than the complicated looking ones. But are they really that simple? I'm a beginner at sewing and I haven't gotten a machine just yet but I will be just as soon as I can come up with the cash. Also, do I need a serger to make this kind of thing?
One more question.. I love those peasant tops that I think are made out of linen and embroidered on top..
here's what I'm talking about http://www.soul-flower.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=GTA004&Category_Code=T
Does making these involve an embroidery machine? I'd love to make one. I can't believe I found this one even i can never find these..
Any tips would rock my socks. thanks.
