1  KNITTING / Projects from the Stitch 'N B**ch Books by Debbie Stoller / Re: HELP looking for Stitch n bitch iron on logo online on: May 02, 2006 01:59:51 PM
Any luck finding it?  I don't have a scanner, so I can't scan the image Sad  I wish I did though

you could knit wool soakers. Those are expensive, so handmade would be appreciated. I have some links for patterns for those if you want them.

Oooh!  Yes please!  Post links for patterns Smiley  that would be awesome!

My brother and his wife are having a baby boy in the next five weeks.  I would like to knit some things for the new baby, but I'm not sure what.  I've been thinking about perhaps making some booties, a blanket, hat, etc.  I would like to ask all of you moms out there what you think is the most useful.  Your feedback will be much appreciated. Smiley
4  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Re: a mini cardigan? on: March 21, 2006 12:37:58 PM
I was looking around that glampyre website and I bought the one-skein-wonder pattern... it looks exactly like what I want to make.  I'll be sure to post pics when I'm done.  Also, once I have use of a sewing machine, I will check out those patterns mentioned above.  Thanks so much for all the help Smiley
5  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / a mini cardigan? on: March 17, 2006 05:23:42 PM
I'm looking for a pattern (either sewing or knitting) to make a short sleeved cardigan sweater that is only long enough in the back to cover the shoulder blades.  That's the best I can describe it.  If I knew what the actual name for those things are, it would be easier to look for a pattern.  I don't want one that buttons...just something to lightly cover my shoulders and upper arms.  Please let me know if you know of a pattern or what these things are called.
6  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / 1lb of yarn = how much yardage? on: February 09, 2006 09:37:12 AM
Ok, I feel like an idiot for asking this, but I did a search and couldn't find an answer.

I bought a pound of yarn (I don't have it in front of me, so I'm unsure of the size.. I just know that I have to use a US 9 size needle) and I have no idea how many yards there are of it.  It doesn't say it ANYWHERE on the label.  Just says there is 1lb of it.  Does anyone have at least a guestimate of how many yards it would have?  I just want to know if I'm going to need to go buy more for this blanket I'm knitting.  I don't want to run out of yarn mid-project and go to the store and not be able to find it again, but I don't want to buy extra yarn and not need it.
7  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Discussion and Questions / Re: where to find a good knitting tote and knitting needle holder thingie... on: November 23, 2005 10:48:33 AM
I just made one of the knitting rolls that I linked to in my other comment - it's the green tapestry one. It's awesome. You'd love this.
I like that one better of the two.  What kind of fabric did you use?  I'm so excited about Christmas now...hehe.  If it turns out that she can't make it (she finds out today if she's going to have wrist surgery) then I'll just make it for myself when I get a sewing machine.  I don't think I would attempt to hand sew something like that.

Wow...everyone's wallets are so cute.  Think this would work if I hand sewed it?

Thanks for responding - I was starting to think my comments in this thread were invisible.
I just emailed those links to my mom (she lives about 3000 miles away) so hopefully it'll help.  Thanks so much <3
