Today while helping my boyfriend take care of his family's hens, I found some lovely feathers. I knew they would be perfect for earrings so I grabbed a few. I cleaned them and found a sweet tutorial (http://blog.craftzine.com/archive/2009/04/how-to_super_fly_feather_earri.html) to make slick feather earrings. Previously I had tried making feather earrings by just wire-wrapping the feather and that didn't work out too hot for me!
So here they are:


Super simple for these, just a blue glass bead at the top. Next time I think I'll try to cut the feathers a bit to make them more uniform. We'll see..

The butterfly-type piece is from a vintage necklace. I love the triangular shape and how lightweight they are. So perfect for summer.
