3  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / feather earrings on: June 12, 2011 06:00:26 PM
Today while helping my boyfriend take care of his family's hens, I found some lovely feathers. I knew they would be perfect for earrings so I grabbed a few. I cleaned them and found a sweet tutorial (http://blog.craftzine.com/archive/2009/04/how-to_super_fly_feather_earri.html) to make slick feather earrings. Previously I had tried making feather earrings by just wire-wrapping the feather and that didn't work out too hot for me!
So here they are:

Super simple for these, just a blue glass bead at the top. Next time I think I'll try to cut the feathers a bit to make them more uniform. We'll see..

Thanks for looking!
xoxo

That's such a cool technique that you used! The necklace looks gorgeous. Feathers would be a great addition

Hi! After taking a little extended break from making jewelry, I've picked it up again. Here are a few pairs of earrings I've been working on:

This pair is made from washers and what used to be a bracelet.

These are my favorite:

The butterfly-type piece is from a vintage necklace. I love the triangular shape and how lightweight they are. So perfect for summer.

Thanks for checking my jewelry out!
