171  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Yo-Yo Flower Bracelet- Blue on: November 30, 2010 08:17:29 PM

(I used my sister's arm as my model for the picture.)

I hot glued eight small yo-yo flowers to a hair band. I couldn't think of a better thing to hot glue them to. One big mistake I made is that when I traced circles onto the material, I used a red maker. Needless to say, a week later when I was doing dishes, my light blue yo-yo flowers began to get little red poka dots on them.
(I went through a time when I was obsessed with making yo-yo flowers and now I have a walmart bag full of them.)
172  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Reconstructed "Gaga Bow Dress" on: November 30, 2010 07:47:34 PM
Reference Picture:

My Result:

I hate pictures of myself so I set a timer on my camera and this is the result, me looking like I'm walking like a dinosaur. But this was the best picture of the dress. And it looks kind of blue-ish in the picture but it's actually black. The effect I used when I edited the picture (I hate raw, natural pictures for the most part) caused it to have a blue-ish tint on the dress.

This is the product of reconstructing cheap ugly thrift store clothes. I made this dress from a plain black XXL shirt and a pair of ugly silky black pants. I used it as part of my Lady Gaga costume for Halloween 2010. I don't think the costume as a whole turned out great but I love the dress. Tell me what you think.
(Also, I'm super proud of myself with this dress because it was the first thing I EVER made on a sewing machine. I taught myself how to use a sewing machine by making this dress.)
173  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Re: Mini Monster Maddness! iPod cozy craziness! on: October 26, 2010 09:15:58 PM
I saw this and at first thought it was a lunchbox. lol I decided, since I don't have an iPod, I'll modify it into a lunchbox. lol I recently started taking my lunch and a monster lunchbox would be so much cooler than a walmart bag. Smiley
