3  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / how to make this twist top??? on: August 05, 2014 09:27:38 PM
so i've been browsing the internet and i came across this top that i adore and would love to have in my closet.

the only problem is that it's too expensive for my student budget. it doesn't seem to have too many seams, therefore i feel like it wouldn't be that hard to make.
BUT i can't figure out how i would attach the back and the sleeves to the front

CRAFTSTER AND CRAFTERS, PLEASE HELP ME FIGURE THIS OUT!!!!

Is it as fast and easy as the envelope says it is? I've had this pattern for years and idk why I never used it. Anyway, your skirt is very pretty!

it was pretty quick to whip up, i'd say. and that is coming from a very beginner level and impatient sewer Smiley u should give it a go!

It's lovely.  Does it overlap at the side where it ties?

It took lots of time (thanks to my talent for procrastination) but I've finally finished this skirt and I'm super duper excited to wear it! So excited, that I didn't even iron it before taking a picture  Roll Eyes

9  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions / Re: Beauty Secrets on: September 15, 2012 11:53:59 PM
this thread is great! i've now a list of things to try!
what i do to exfoliate my skin is make a pastey thing with sugar(brown sugar preferably but normal granulated stuff works as well) and honey and i just massage it onto my face. it makes my skin feel great!
i tried the extra virgin olive oil thing today (massage 1:1 parts extra virgin olive oil and castor oil onto skin then wipe off with steaming washcloth) except i used vegetable oil because i have no castor oil aha but it seems to have worked okay because my skin is all dewy and stuff. not sure if it's a fluke or if vegetable oil works too but im satisfied Smiley
