1  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Hat/Coat Rack on: February 09, 2011 08:39:32 PM
Once upon a time my father thought he could take apart and tune a second-hand piano we had picked up since he had once had a job in college doing that. Long story short - he couldn't and the lovely wooden pieces of the piano started to gather dust in our basement. So finally I grabbed this one and decided to turn it into something...a lot of ripping and modge-podging later...this is what appeared. I stole the knobs from my father's workbench as well...amazing the stuff you find down there. Smiley There was another piece with beautiful molding I had plans for but alas we moved and no one thought it worth saving.

2  CRAFTING FOR GOOD AND NOT EVIL / Crafty Charitable/Social Causes / Charity for Abused Women? on: January 24, 2011 02:08:22 PM
I was wondering if anyone knows a charity that accepts cards/handmade objects for Abused women? Having had personal experience in that myself unfortunately, I am very interested in any group that facalities that sort of thing. Anyone know of any?
3  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) / Dirty Old Men ATCs (Slightly NWS for text, not pictures) on: December 20, 2010 08:08:49 PM
So I've been on an ATC obssession lately...making way to many to post here, but you can always check out my ATCsforall gallery if you want. Smiley

However, these I had to post....I'm sort of ashamed to say that I am having far too much with these and they are making myself crack up. I plan to make many more.
So the concept behind these is this...you know how you can't (or don't want to) imagine your parents or grandparents "doing it"? Well what about all those stuffy Victorians....yeah ok, maybe I just have a dirty mind.  Wink

I've even given them names. This one is Maurice.

and Alfred...

They are made from real pictures I bought from an Antique store. At first I had a horrible time getting myself to cut them up but I convinced myself I was saving them from the obscurity of the back room of an shop in South Texas...and I also scanned them before I did cut so I have them forever. Smiley

Enjoy. Hope you get a giggle out of them.
4  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Cell-Phone? on: November 10, 2010 08:22:24 PM
So my old cellphone has already been recycled once by giving it to my sister...however it is now broken in two pieces thanks to some highschool boys. But the piece look like so much fun I don't want to throw them out.... anyone have any good ideas?

5  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Bookmarks/Contact Cards on: November 03, 2010 11:32:57 AM
I recently started as a high-school age youth sponser at my church and I wanted to give my girls my contact information as well as a little gift. I decided combining the two with these bookmarks that I made ostentacious enough so that they wouldn't be lost the first night!

This is my first project post so I hope you enjoy.

I don't have a picture of the backs but they were simple with a Bible reference and my contact info.
