I love your stamped cupcake bags, have to say that I've 'adopted' many cupcakes in my time  Cheesy

Thanks guys  Smiley Sylwa, they took me a maybe 3 hours? I wish I'd taken a bit longer and got them neater though as they're a bit rough around the edges. Don't be scared of it, it's quite forgiving really. I hope you put some photos up once you've finished!

I've just finished making our cake toppers for our wedding in September  Grin I made my fiance's troll shaman Psyjin and my belf mage Elyssia. The photo of them is pre-baking which I'm glad about, as unfortunately Psyjin took a facedive in the oven and suffered some fall damage (WoW joke  Cheesy ) by that I mean his feet fell off Sad I'm sure I'll be able to patch him up though somehow! I've never used Fimo before so was quite surprised how much I liked the end product

4  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Very Hungry Caterpillar blanket - first try! on: March 31, 2013 04:57:05 PM
I thought I'd upload some photos of my first ever attempt at a patchwork blanket, I made it for my fiance's sister's baby, it was originally going to be for his first birthday but there was no way I was going to finish on time so I postponed it and did it for his second instead  Roll Eyes It's not technically very good, the squares aren't lined up properly but she loved it regardless  Cheesy Hopefully it will make a nice keepsake in the years to come Smiley

These are my favourite nails I've done, ombre/gradient nails, I called them Starry Night Smiley

I used a dark blue for the base, with a light layer on the bottom, then another layer to make it darker, then black for the tips with a topcoat of clear with silver glitter. The picture isn't very good but they looked lovely. They were really easy to do, just a bit messy! Lots of tutes online or on youtube showing you how to do them Smiley

Glad things are working out for you Smiley I think orange shoes would look great with a cream/white coloured dress

I don't really have anything to report Sad Fabric flowers are making progress but I'm cutting out all the shapes at once, then going to flame the ones that need flaming together, then assemble them together so all I  have at the moment is a box of petals and strips

I love your bridesmaid dresses, very sweet and pretty Smiley I also like the idea of pumpkins and natural decorations for an Autumn wedding, super thrifty that you're growing them yourself too. What colour is your dress going to be?

I'm making progress with my flowers, tried out 6 different types. Feeling a bit 'fumey' from melting the edges of some of the fabrics, scary how quickly they melted into plastic considering that they're clothes though  Shocked Also very very glad I decided to keep a bowl of water nearby as it turns out some of the fabric wasn't melty synthetic, and was cotton based and promptly set on fire  Shocked

Thanks sweets Smiley I went to my favourite 'everything's 1' charity shop today and bought some clothes made of gorgeous fabrics which are now chopped up and ready to be made into flowers. Going to try a few different designs that i've found tutes for online and see which are the nicest. Will hopefully have some progress pictures ready for tomorrow Smiley

Oh, I've just realised how long ago most of these posts were  Embarrassed is there no-one planning weddings that can join in again? Don't want to be here talkin' to myself  Smiley

Hi everyone, I've been engaged for a couple of years now and decided to start putting the gears in motion for an actual wedding. No date set yet, but aiming for next year, probably in the summertime if we can. In typical Elyssian fashion, I'm planning the small details (read: things I can craft!) instead of concentrating on the scary big things like booking a venue  Roll Eyes I'm aiming to get anything I can make out of the way early without an actual deadline which would just make me panic, that's my logic anyway. Anyway, without further rambling, this is what I can think of so far...

Save the Date cards
Invitations
Seating chart/table names/place settings
Bunting to hang over the candy buffet
Personalised tags to put on the favour boxes/bags (by giving each guest one bag/box to fill at the candy table, I'm hoping to avoid a feeding frenzy)
Fabric flowers for table centrepieces
Decorate some little jam jars with lace to hold tealights in
Cupcakes
Cake topper

This is all I have so far, sure I'll end up adding to it as time goes on though! Loving seeing everyone else's crafts, you're all so talented  Cheesy Hope the things I make turn out as nice
