The reaseon the eye looks offset is because I didn't sew it on in the exact center and I rolled the pupil a little towards the bottom before I sewed it on.

Cloak (white)
You may need to add or take away sc’s to make the fit correct.
Row 1: ch 12
Row 2: in the 2nd sc from the hook sc, then sc in the remaining 10 sc.  Ch 2
Row 3: in the 2nd sc from the hook sc, then sc in the remaining sc
Row 4- … : repeat row 3 until the cloak is the right length.

Once you are happy with the fit, sc around the outside of the entire cloak so that the edges are smooth and even, adding a sc on each corner to keep the project flat.

Arms
Rnd 1: with green sc 6 in a circle
Rnd 2: sc around.  Finish off.
Rnd 3: with white sc around
Rnd 4-9: sc around.

Finish off leaving enough of a string to attach to the cloak.

Assembly
Attach the head to the brown section of the body, then add the ears, eyes and mouth.  Sew the cloak around the outside of the body, then attach the arms.

-Pants-
In blue

Rnd 1- st 6 in a circle
Rnd 2- "increase in each st around" (12)

In Yellow

Row 1- Chain 5 in the 2nd st from the hook st, then st in the next 3 st's (4)
Rows 2-4- ch 1, st across (4)
Finish off, but leave a long tail

In black

On the short side of you rectangle, 2 rows of black with 4 st in each
Finish off, leaving a long tail

Roll the rectangle so the black is on one end and the yellow is on the other.  Sew the outer edges together using the appropriate color.



-Legs-
Rnd 1- st 6 in a circle
Rnd 2- increase 3, and st in the rest of the sts (9)
Finish off, and switch to blue
Rnd 3,4- st around
Finish off leaving a tail

-Eye/ Goggle-
With white
Rnd 1- st 6 in a circle

switch to grey
Rnd 2- increase in each st around (12)

for the pupil tie a knot and attach it to the center of the white circle

-Goggle Strap-
In black

chain enough st to wrap around your minions head, then attach to the goggle

-Finishing Touches-
Once you have attached all parts to their proper places, sew a small button to the front of your minion and add some hair if you'd like.

VARY IMPORTANT PIECE OF PATTERN IS MISSING!

Today I realized that I forgot to say when to change from grey to white in the pattern.  Oops.  After row thirteen finish off then join with white and continue to the end.

This is my first pattern post so please be patient with me.










Materials:

G hook
Fiberfill
Grey, White yarn
Blue embroidery floss
A lense looking eye
A silver bead
Black nail polish
Coragated cardboard

Notes:

Gauge in this pattern isn't really important when done R2D2 should be about 5 1/4 inches tall.

Body: In gray
Rnd 1: 6 sc in magic ring (6)
Rnd 2: 2 sc in each sc around (12)
Rnd 3: "Sc 1, increase in next sc" around (18)
Rnd 4: "Sc 2, increase in next sc" around (24)
Rnd 5: "Sc 3, increase in next sc" around (30)
Rnd 6: "Sc 4, increase in next sc" around (36)
Rnd 7-13: Sc in each sc around
Finish off then attach white
Rnd 14-25:Sc in each sc around
Rnd 26: "Sc 4, decrease" working in back part of stitch only (30)
Rnd 27: "Sc 3, decrease around" working in both parts of stitch (24)
Rnd 28: "Sc 2, decrease around", stuff
Rnd 29: "Sc 1, decrease around"
Rnd 30: decrease around

Feet (make 3)
Cut a piece of cardboard 3/4" by 1"
Row 1: sc 6
Row 2: in second sc from hook sc, continue sc in rest of the sc turn
Row 3-4: "sc across, sc 1" turn

Rnd 1: begin to stitch around entire bottom of foot (16)
Rnd 2: place one rectangle in the bottom of foot, stitch around decreasing  once on each side (12)
Rnd 3: sc around decreasing only on the longer sides till there are 8 sc left, stuff

Arms (make 2)
Rnd 1: sc 6 in magic ring
Rnd 2: increase in each stitch (12)
Rnd 3: sc around
Rnd 4: decrease 4 times then stitch in the last 4 sc (7)
Rnd 5-9: sc around
Rnd 10: increase 1 sc, stuff, then attach to foot

Assembly:
Attach one foot to the bottom of R2D2 in the middle.  Attach arms to body at a slight angle.  Sew/crochet control panels on using the blue embroidery floss.  Glue on eye.  Put a small black dot on the silver bead then attach bead to head.

If you have advice on writing patterns better please share your tips.
