I just spend 2 weeks in the hospital so I will be frantically working up to the last minute to get everything done, I'm so disappointed, I had planned on some extras I thought she would really like but it looks like that wont be happening.

I think I was about to just start an account on pinterest without an invite but I sent you an invite to your yahoo email address just in case. Let me know if you need any help. Smiley

Is there a secret to getting an invite on Pinterest? I requested one a few days ago but didn't get any kind of response, I didn't know if I should request again or if that was normal.  I did start a wist and so far I really like it but pinterest sounds like it would be more organized with the themes and categories.

6  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Hat Help! on: December 11, 2010 11:26:15 AM
Ive been trying to figure out how to make this hat for my friend, I only crochet and cant figure out how to do it. If anyone has any ideas, or has seen a pattern for a similar hat, or even has an idea on what style hat it would be considered I would love any input, Im kind of stumped!

That's the great thing about the hat design it should be easily adjusted for adult sizes too, you could probably use other types of yarn too, this was just so soft and nice I couldn't resist!  I just had someone ask me to make an adult one for her as a trade for some stuff from her shop so I'll let you know how it goes!

I'm glad I could make everyone smile! Thanks for all the compliments. I can take credit for the hat but the adorable little baby is a friend's newborn, she's so cute I did a happy dance when her mom said she would let me use her cute pictures to show off my stuff! Hopefully after the Christmas season slows down I will have a chance to write and share this hat pattern and some of my others!

Yay first completed project post!

So, its definitely not my first completed project or project I've designed myself but it is the first I've ever posted here so that's something to celebrate!

I've seen tons of cute knit baby Elf hats and patterns but when I looked I couldn't find a crochet pattern that was free so I decided to create one myself.  To make it I used Homespun yarn so that it would be really soft. It was my first time using Homespun yarn and I had heard mixed reviews on Homespun yarn but I really liked working with it and when I made the puffball on the end with a little fluffing it became nice and puffy.
