42  1-Cable Hats in Knitting: Completed Projects by bananaleg on: February 19, 2014 05:10:06 PM
Hats with a ton of cables are pretty, but i kind of love a hat with only one cable.

This one was knit with some handdyed yarn i got from pinkleo in a swap a while back. I love how it looks knit up!

This is knit from Patons ColorWul. Such a fun colorway.

I knit a Seahawks color striped hat, but what i really wanted was one of their sideline knit hats.

This is my attempt:

44  My New Go-To Treadmill Knits in Knitting: Completed Projects by bananaleg on: February 19, 2014 04:52:24 PM
I find it much easier to get through walking on the treadmill if i have something in my hands. Especially something easy.

45  Garter Stitch Hats in Knitting: Completed Projects by bananaleg on: February 19, 2014 04:46:47 PM
I mentioned a couple posts back that January was a very garter stitch month for me... Here are a few of the other garter stitch hats i made in January.

I've had the purple and green for probably almost 3 years now. I love them together and couldn't find that right project for them. But i'm pretty happy with this.

46  Chunky Tweed Beanies in Knitting: Completed Projects by bananaleg on: February 19, 2014 04:35:25 PM
A couple years ago, i walked into Michaels and there was some thick and thin yarn, which i'd never seen, on sale. It's called Horizon Tweed, but it's discontinued. I chose two colorways and bought 2 skeins of each.

This last November, i still had all 4 skeins. Hats are my favorite things to make, so i gave that a shot.

French Lavender:

Cream:

I cast on with size US 10 1/2 needles, and after a few rounds switched to US 11s.
Super warm. Super comfy.

47  Rikke Hats in Knitting: Completed Projects by bananaleg on: February 19, 2014 04:17:34 PM
I was really into garter stitch throughout January. Still am, but it's quieted down a bit.

So i made these Rikke Hats, by Sarah Young.

Although I do have US 7s, i do not have US 4s. So, instead i decreased the stitch count a bit and i think i used US 6s and US 9s.

It's a nice, easy pattern. I would recommend it.
