Okay, all. Here are the last few things i've gotten pictures of.

I had planned on making two Seahawks elf hats for my two nephews, but only one got done... and it got passed around at Christmas. I think everybody but my nephews wore the hat. (It's big because i wanted the boys to be able to wear their hats for a while. If i ever get the second one done...)
For example, here's my niece:

Made matching slippers for all 4 niblings (which is a real, actual word meaning nieces and nephews).

I don't know. I thought the burgundy strip going up would look cooler... I need to block it, too, it's a bit snug.

Also had higher hopes for this one. Fun to knit, but the colors looked better together before being knit up together.

Some of you knitters might know about Meredith Lee, of Leethal Knits. She posted a hat pattern on instagram and tumblr, with a new piece of the pattern being posted each day. This is how mine turned out. Not a pattern i would usually jump at, but i actually quite like it.

This was a commission for a friend. Her boyfriend is a Lakers fan.

I've had a hard time staying organized and taking pictures this year. And i've been on here so sporadically. I really hope i can pick it back up next year.

Anyway, onto the projects.

My church had Ugly Sweater Sunday yesterday. As i mentioned in my last post, my first ever sweater was $5 in Paris. I used cotton yarn (but not the kind of cotton yarn that really makes a good sweater), i never even knit sleeves, i just cast off where they'd been left off after separating, and it was just ill-fitting... so i decided to give it a fabulous Christmas makeover.

I added a little crochet to the sleeves. Made a sort of tree out of garland. Crocheted a little skirt to the bottom (like a tree skirt, hehe). And no joke, the silver garland around the neck was in the box as a circle already, and it was exactly the length of the neck of the sweater. Exactly. And that's honestly the only reason i put it on there.

Our church also has a giving tree each year. You take an ornament off the tree with a certain present somebody has asked for, and you get it. My mom took one for a 6-year-old girl who wanted "anything Seahawks". I made her a scarf.

A friend asked me to make her some coffee sleeves. I have one that says "Word up.", which she liked, so she wanted that in Seahawks colors. The other two are presents, the L is in Seahawks colors. "Your Face" is in Packers colors. This picture is before stitching the felt onto the sleeves, but i didn't get a good after shot.

She also asked me to make a camera bag for her 5-year-old daughter, who will be getting a camera for Christmas. It was my first time sewing a zipper onto crochet, but it seems to have worked!

My cousin (in Wisconsin) and i decided to do a little swap. She got me a Packers shirt (they're easier to get over there, you know), and i made her a few things. The infinity scarf, she asked for. The Clay Matthews coffee sleeve and Packers bracelet were surprises.

After seeing my cousin's infinity scarf, my sister needed one for her trip to NYC. Then i made her one to give her mother-in-law. Then i made one for my mom to take for a white elephant exchange. They're so quick and so satisfying.

Another friend asked me to make a Lakers hat for her boyfriend.

A couple more of those oatmeal hats.

A couple headbands.

My nieces and i have made a ton of God's Eyes, but of course i don't have pictures of most. These were the first 3.

anna, that pillowcase is so cute.

lady, i'm glad i could bring you a smile when you weren't feeling well. That turtle scarf is adorable. Paper bag holder. What a great idea.

As usual, i've been slacking on picture taking. But here's some stuff.

My brother started pharmacy school this fall, and these are his new college colors (Washington State University).

A friend of a friend needed a baby hat.

An old friend ordered some wristers from me, and i sent her a couple extras. We really bonded when we took German together, so i made her a German flag stocking ornament.

And a little hedgehog because one of the stories we read was Peter Igel in der Luft, about a hedgehog on a hot air balloon ride.

Pumpkin coffee sleeve.

This cowl was finished last year, with the greens and a cream, but i decided against the cream and tore it out. So, the greens just sat in a drawer until i was organizing last week and saw that red right next to it, and they just looked perfect together.

I've been making a bunch of hats like this one, with the oatmeal base and replacing the purple with different colors. This is the only one i have a picture of so far.

I was looking for interesting new cables, saw this one, and needed to knit it immediately.

28  Pug Coffee Sleeve in Crochet: Completed Projects by bananaleg on: November 24, 2014 09:15:09 PM
One of my high school teachers has become a good friend, and she loves pugs. She jokingly asked me one day when i was going to make her a pug coffee sleeve. I had actually been planning on giving it a shot (only for her as i don't usually do well with fiddly bits). So, i looked at a couple pictures (i could only find two anywhere on the interwebs) and set about crocheting a pug sleeve.

I mean, look at that tail.

And then i noticed that if you slide the sleeve down so the little legs are touching the counter, and then scoot the cup, it looks like the pug is walking. So i made a gif because i couldn't stop laughing, and i needed to share it.
