frosty772 has received, and i'm excited to show you all what i made.

I claimed her for some cuffs, and i had an interesting time making them. Couldn't find a pattern i liked, so i decided to wing it. The first one didn't work out. The second time was better but still wrong. The third time went much better. She said she's already worn them, so i think i did okay.

I noticed on her pinterest that she wanted autobots washcloths for her boys. I couldn't find a chart, but i did find a hat somewhere with a good enough photo that i could copy. I made two cloths.

I ended up only getting a picture of one of them.

LovelyMiss, your scarf looks great for a first project! Nice! And great hoops! Like everyone else, i knew it was a tree, too. And of course i love the shrooms hoop.

beth, what a great blanket! I started one a few months ago, i need to finish it... And your slippers are so cute! I love the matching slippers you made your daughter. So adorable.
And wow, tell your daughter her hat looks AWESOME! Were you watching The Munsters?? <3

I also made slippers recently. Yesterday, actually. I call them the Horse of a Different Color Slippers. For my niece.
I posted about them here and on my brand new blog. (Sorry for the shameless plug, i'm just excited about it. Cheesy)

Then we made God's Eyes (she just calls them our projecth). We have tons of branches down in the yard waiting to be crafted with, and i have a ton of scratchy acrylic yarn...:
First, to match her slippers:
I made this while she wrapped yarn around sticks and made a general mess:
And we made this today:

And i recently found out someone close to me is pregnant (like, just found out, 3 months from telling other people, super early pregnant), and i had to start crafting for this baby. Right away:
I have no idea if it will fit any baby... but i had to make them.

153  Horse of a Different Color Slippers in Crochet: Completed Projects by bananaleg on: February 07, 2012 05:48:02 PM

I made my own pair of slippers recently, inspired by Scarecrow from The Wizard of Oz. I've been meaning to make something for my niece (Wizard of Oz is our movie), and i finally did yesterday.

Her favorite part is the horse of a different color. She gets SO excited he shows up (white), and every time he changes colors (first purple, then red, then yellow)... i need earplugs.

If you're interested in reading more about them, i posted about them on my blog.

Wow. All of these hoops just keep blowing me away! I love the paper airplane one.

That fox hoodie is adorable.

And ooh, Noro... I've always wanted to try Noro yarn. So pretty!

I received from ChrisSews. She said she's been having fun with free-motion embroidery on her sewing machine and used it for my package. It's amazing!

Clouds, mountains, pine trees... Stunning. The best parts of Washington. <3

Awesome, thanks!

Antidigger, seriously love that whole story.

My church is having a big Super Bowl party today, and since my dad is helping organize, I was kind of expected to help with the trivia prizes. I tried to make a hat, but didn't have much time... So when I gave it a shot, it didn't turn out well. So, I made a coffee cozy.

Nothing spectacular, but I'm really trying to destash my red heart super saver...

And I finished the beards and mustaches!

My friend has been teaching herself to crochet and has been making gnome hats. Those kids are going to look so cute!

Night Skies
Still trying to come up with a good name...

I'm new here, so be gentle. My name is Angie; i'll answer to most anything. I live in Washington state. We have the most gentle (crybaby) pitbull, named Buster. He stays away from the crafting.

If you want something for a different price, make me an offer.

Just a note: With the exception of the "environmental" bag, all sewn items are completely sewn by hand.

OPEN

Supplies and Other Non-Crafted Items:

Woohoo! Welcome, ifallthraindrops!

Great-looking hats, Kook! I know what you mean. I love hats, so it's hard for me to choose, too.

Well, here are a couple.
I call this The Wills.

I've already posted about it on craftster here, but basically... it was just supposed to be a practice run for another hat, but as i was finishing (during the royal wedding), i realized it practically matched William's jacket! So, i added the yellow. Caron Simply Soft is just so soft and nice to knit with.

Then there was my first earflap hat. Made it up as i went, so there was some trial and error. But it was still fun.

Wonky or not, that's adorable, APM. I wish I could help... Despite sewing being my first love, I'm actually not all that good at it. Smiley

I have projects I need to get done, so I'm obviously working on other things. (I need a facepalm smiley...)

First, this cowl.

And these mitts (just like the black ones I posted recently). These are my fifth pair of the same pattern.

159  Red Vines Fingerless Mitts -- Link to pattern added!! in Knitting: Completed Projects by bananaleg on: January 26, 2012 02:13:03 PM
I was in the "A Very Potter Musical" swap last year. My partner, Opaka and i both love the line, "Red Vines: What the hell can't they do?"

So, i knew i had to make something that reminded me of Red Vines. But what? Then i found the mock cable. And thanks to Wise Hilda Knits, i learned to knit a mock cable rib... which, when knit in red, totally looks like licorice!

P.S. Thank you, Opaka, for the photo!

By the way, i've posted these on ravelry. No pattern yet, but i think i might try to knit up another pair and maybe i'll try to get a pattern written down, if anybody would be interested.

Edited to add: I put the pattern up on Ravelry: http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/red-vines-mitts

160  Grey/Mustard Mittens in Knitting: Completed Projects by bananaleg on: January 26, 2012 12:30:44 AM

We recently had a bit of a snowstorm here in Washington, and I needed wanted a pair of mittens.

Like many people on the interwebs, I've realized I'm really liking grey and yellow together. Lucky for me, I had some of each in Loops & Threads Cozy Wool.
