1  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Father's Day / help me get (or make) something for my dad! on: June 05, 2005 09:18:54 AM
I want to get my dad something nice for Father's Day this year. He never tells me what he wants and so, he usually ends up with a t-shirt or something. lol.
Anyway about my dad.....
*he's a carpenter (but already has pretty much every tool ever made...or at least it seems like it)
*he's really the outdoors type - likes to fish, hunt, camp....

So, can anyone give me any good ideas???
2  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / clothes that doesn't fit on: May 23, 2005 06:22:14 AM
I'm not sure if this is in the right place but....
I have a lot of clothes which I can't wiggle into anymore Tongue. I want to make something out of them but I don't really know what yet.
I have: *long skirts
          *short skirts
          *long sleeved shirts
          *tank tops
Any suggestions?
3  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Discussion and Questions / help - how to make a jean tote bag on: May 21, 2005 05:57:04 AM
Ok...so I have this long jean skirt that I grew out of Sad but I didn't just want to throw it away. I'm taking the spring semester and thought that instead of carrying a bookbag (or my flimsy cottom tote bag which would break with even 1 of my books in it Tongue) around on hot summer days (even though here we get about 2 nice days a year. lol) that I would try to make a tote bag. I really want to try to make one out of the skirt. The problem is...I don't really know where to start. I'm a beginner, so nothing TOO complicated. If someone could help me get started, that'd be great Grin.
4  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage / graduation gift on: April 26, 2005 06:14:22 PM
My friend's high school graduation is next week. We were BEST friends last year but this year we're not so close. I'd really like to get (or make) her something REALLY nice. If anyone has any kind of idea, please let me know. Smiley
5  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / t-shirt dilemma on: February 27, 2005 09:28:17 AM
I'm sure that I'm not posting this in the right section but....
I'm making a tank top from a HUGE t-shirt. It's almost finished (actually I thought that it was) and I just tied the sleeves, instead of having straps. I thought it looked alright, but my boyfriend thinks it looks funny...My web cam isn't working right now, but if anyone could give me some advice that would be great Smiley.
6  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / skirt on: February 25, 2005 05:47:23 AM
Hey, this is my first skirt. I made it a few years ago in clothing class.  I would have modeled it, but it kind of doesn't fit anymore. lol.

What does everyone think? Be honest.  Tongue
