1  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Weddings and Bridal Showers / Alice in wonderland themed wedding on 4-20 on: January 11, 2011 08:39:39 AM
Morning ladies. I have a wedding to plan in less than like 90 days.
Theme: Alice in Wonderland
FH:Mad Hatter
Bride: White Rabbit
Brides Maids: Queens of a suit (hearts, diamonds, clubs and spades)
GM: Kings of a suit
Ring Barer: Boink Twins (tweedle dee and tweedle dumb)
Flower Girl: Alice

We are thinking of doing it in a local casino that has an atrium with a small waterfall.
I have a few DIY ideas.

1. Coffee filter bouquets... haven't decided if they are going to be white... or let it be dramatical and make them red... maybe white with red tips... we will find out when the crafting commences.
2. Hair pieces for BM... are going to be their card (queen of hearts, diamonds, club and spades) thinking i am going to up play them with rhinestones, feathers, lace, somethin.
3. Center pieces... im getting some saucers and coffee/ tea cups, going to stack them and throw some beads, cards, feathers on them. Im thinking of adding tea lights some where on these, tho i dont know where.

For the wedding i am envisioning very intimate reds, white, black, then when we go to the reception, that's  it party is on.  Very whimsical, i don't want to spend a billion dollars in linens, so as i am getting the supplies for the center pieces i am looking for flat sheets. Floral designs, plain, colored, but using them for table cloths.

Will add more as I come up with ideas or to add the "look what i did" pictures.
Any ideas ladies is very welcomed. Ive seen a few of the Alice weddings on here... VERY BEAUTIFUL!!!

3  CLOTHING / Clothing for Curvaceous Craftsters: Completed Projects / Workshirt turned tube top on: October 21, 2010 01:04:34 AM
This is my first post, or so I think it is. So please bare with me.
On my first day as a newbie Craftster, I found this adorable tube top that this woman had made from her boyfriends polo shirt... I quickly went into my "I'll make something out of that one day pile" I found a size 3x work shirt that my ex husband had left here... (HA it was 51% mine to begin with Tongue) He might be able to have the scraps that are left...
You will see in the pictures that the front of the shirt is left to be like the original poster...
This is the shirt that I started with:

It had a name tag on it that i left intact:

Here is the frontal view:

And pardon my honkey tonk ba donk a donk...

I made the skirt a while back ago from an old pair of jean pants... Thought it would be a nice touch with my new shirt... So I have a newish outfit to my closet... Not bad for my first few attempts with my Brother machine.
