1  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Re: Good Projects for a Beginner? on: July 21, 2011 06:10:15 AM
What about these?

She has other patterns on her blog. I couldn't believe how easy it was to make. I made my first flower yesterday. What fun!

She includes videos too and they are clear and helpful as well.

Two years too late? I just found this pattern yesterday and made one up in less than a few hours. She also has video tutorials which are so helpful.

I love the interchangeable button idea!

good quality? I get my tshirts from the thrift store. I found it doesn't even matter if there are light stains on it, since the edges curl and only the back part shows. therefore you can't see any stains at all! Of course, I wash and dry all the tshirts first, but it's a great way to use up those ruined stained and holey shirts!
4  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / crocheted rugs on: October 11, 2010 09:37:53 PM
I made these crocheted rugs recently. It's been years since I crocheted rugs like this but found it super easy and fun!

I made them with tshirts, instead of the usual bed sheets I've used in the past. I found with the bed sheets, the material frayed like crazy. With the shirts, the material rolls up quite nicely and no frayed edges!
