21  How about a Wists Swap? in New Swap Theme Ideas by PosiTori on: February 15, 2011 10:55:39 AM

Anyone interested in doing a Wists themed swap?  You'd be crafting items from your partners wists or inspired by things in your partners wist.

I imagine this would fun! I haven't seen one of these pop up in a while and I'd be happy to host it. Smiley  Sign ups would be soon if enough people were interested.  I'm hoping for send outs to be around end March-April.

Anyone else be interested?

If your curious what a wists is here's the website:  http://wists.com/

22  My First Cable Scarf! (link to pattern) in Knitting: Completed Projects by PosiTori on: February 10, 2011 09:46:57 AM

I only learned to knit about a month ago, and I decided to take a stab at cables! I had a stash of chunky yarn lying around and I figured it was time for a new scarf. I used Kiersten Brandt's Backbone Bookmark Pattern (http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/backbone-bookmark) and thought it would look awesome as a scarf. I used size 11 needles and the scarf ended up being a good 6" across. It's Perfect! Not bad for my first stab at cables! I also wasn't sure if I liked my yarn choice after I started knitting with it, but it's really starting to grow on me.  I used two skeins of Premier Yarn's Serenity Chunky Yarn and it's super soft and warm  Cheesy

My scarf from Rainysunshine789!  She did a fantastic job! I would never have attempted a sideways garder stitch myself. And the colors complement my wardrobe really well. Smiley  Thanks again Rainy! I adore it!

Scarf I made for Rainysunshine789!  She couldn't find her camera, so I agree'd to upload the photos I took before I sent it out.
I really love the outcome of this scarf, and I'm glad Rainysunshine789 does too! Smiley  Crocheting posts is so fun and relaxing!

So you guys can kinda see clearer. lol
I (heavily) based the poster off of Ameba2k's awesome 11 and Amy posters.  I loved the styled, I knew I had to make one for Fullmoon since 9 is her fav!  I'm so glad that poster survived! I was really worried it would get squished.  The tiny charm is a keychain with the Tardis on it...and of course an Adipose! My boyfriend almost shit a brick cause he bought me one for Xmas and thought I made that one for myself. lol!  I added the card and bag after this photo was taken.  How could I not insert the Van Gogh painting somewhere in this package?! Its so BadA**!

I'm so glad you like everything! Cheesy

28  Luna Lovegood! in Halloween Costumes by PosiTori on: October 24, 2010 10:35:39 PM
I decided to put together a Luna Lovegood costume for Halloween, the opening of Deathly Hollows, Wizarding World of Harry Potter, and then some conventions. lol.  Lots of HP costuming love Tongue

HeHe...looks like a Hogwarts school photo.

Nargles!? Trying to capture Luna's spaciness.

Jewelry made by me Smiley  I really enjoyed dressing up as Luna. Its a comfy costume Cheesy  I already had the wig...I know its not super light like Luna's.  Maybe I'll get a lighter one in the future.

29  Luna Lovegood's Radish Earrings and Cork Necklace in Beads: Completed Projects by PosiTori on: October 17, 2010 02:20:08 PM
I am dressing up as Luna Lovegood for Halloween...and her costume cannot be complete without her awesome jewelry. Cheesy

Those radish earrings were a pain in the butt!  Every tutorial I found was for flat ones...but me being a perfectionist, mine had to be round!  Finally figured out a solid method..after many time consuming failures. lol

I also I had enough materials to make a few more cork necklaces.
