2  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Party Planning / Mixed Ages Slumber Party/Girl's Night In Theme??? on: May 24, 2006 04:31:52 PM
Okay, so i am planning a party for the little girls I work with...thing is, some of them are not so little. We may have ages 14 all the way down to 7. It's basically girl's night in...we'll separate the boys from the girls and watch girly movies and do some spa stuff...manicures/pedicures, etc...

I guess I'm needing ideas for games and maybe goodie bags? I'd like to personally craft something for the goodie bags, I think.

I work at a residential treatment center for kids with emotional and behavioral problems, so this isn't going to be an actual slumber party...it'll end when my shift ends, I think, and the girls will go to bed then. Also, I can't put anything in their goodie bags like nail polish, because it could be a hazard...they could break the bottles and such. However, I want this to seems as normal as possible, and have them do normal slumber party stuff that they would do if they were in the community...does this make sense?

Thanks in advance for any help you can give me!!! Kiss
3  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Completed Projects / Stencil + glitter = <3 on: March 31, 2006 08:40:32 AM
Okay, so I had a black hoodie which I wore alot last year, but haven't worn much lately just because it was kinda boring...so I decided it needed a little glitter. Everything's better with glitter, right? This is what I came up with.

Super cheesy pic of me wearing the hoodie

I used Aleene's glitter and gem glue and freezer paper.
4  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / First Non-Scarf Finished Project! on: February 02, 2006 11:37:30 PM
This is my favoritest hat and scarf I've made! It was my fisrt time really trying something that wasn't a scarf...the hat was a bit big, but I fixed it the second time I made one. I used Angel Hair from Jo-Ann's...it's super soft! The pattern for the hat was super easy...even for someone who doesn't follow patterns well, and the scarf was just garter stich.

5  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Bubbles!!! on: January 17, 2006 11:16:14 PM
This is a painting I did a couple years ago when we moved into our apartment and had supe high ceilings, which equals LOTS of blank wall space. I needed something to cover them, and the red matches the red rug that we put on the floor.

6  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Fortune Cookie Swap??? on: June 16, 2005 05:07:05 PM
:)You will recieve fun fortune cookie themed crafts in the mail soon. Smiley

I've been obsessed with fortune cookies lately! I love the shape, the little bits of wisdom hidden inside... Not to mention that I was totally inspired by some fortune stickers I just boughT!

So, how about it??? I'm willing to organize, but it will have to wait until the middle of July so I can finish up some other swaps, and get all my previous commitments taken care of with work, and my volunteer work!
7  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Discussion and Questions / Paper Mache Masks??? on: June 13, 2005 02:03:37 PM
Does anyone know of a place I can find paper mache masks at a reasonable price? I need just plain blank ones, not in the shape of anything other than a face, really...

I know I could make my own, but they are for an actiivity for work...it would be alot easier to have them pre-made to decorate them...

Thanks in advance for your help! Smiley
