For me, the trick with drawing hair is to simplify it as much as possible. I like drawing curly hair because you can sort of make waves wherever and it looks about right. I was actually doodling Sherlock when my sister-in-law requested Mr. Rochester. I'm glad you liked the hair, because it was fun for me to figure out and draw. Smiley

I made these Jane Eyre and Edward Rochester pictures for my sister-in-law per request. I love the way they turned out. Cheesy It's mixed-media (watercolor, crayons, sharpie, scrapbooking paper) 5X7 and totally awesome (imho). Hope you enjoy them!

Very well executed, and a wonderful message to boot.  The colors are great and the graphic nature of it is slightly reminiscent of School House Rock, which is just awesome.  Good job!

I really liked the colorful graphic artwork from the 70's-80's... they were very geometric and it's inspired me greatly. Smiley

Male, female, transgendered, gay, straight, bisexual, of any color or creed.. we are all made up of the same matter, yet equality is still an issue.
I dislike fighting and prefer to find common ground. If we're simply not going to agree, at least we can try to understand each others views.

8  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / work button into wearable art!! (day of the dead skull <3) on: June 28, 2010 04:25:16 PM

I wasn't sure where to put this... as it is more art than anything, but at the same time, I took a leftover button from work (ask me what's new!) and turned it into this adorable button for my boyfriend. You can't really tell in this photo, but the skulls are blushing!! I just drew them out on watercolor paper, colored them with crayons, cut them out, and mod podge it, with some scraps of groovy paper, onto the button. I hope he likes it.

A friend of mine asked me to make a coloring page for his zine... and this is what came out of my brain.
