1  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Cuddly Cthulhu on: January 24, 2011 05:01:19 PM
I made this for Fullmoon in the Ongoing Wish Swap 66, and must admit, I was a little worried since it seems like forever since I've made an amigurumi. However, she received it today, and seemed to love it, so I figured I'd share the finished product...

2  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Stars and Scrarves..Oh My! on: January 16, 2011 10:00:14 AM
Okay, so really it's only one star and one scarf, but after a long hiatus from crocheting I'm happy to have not only one but TWO FOs to show off. Both are made with Caron Simply Soft acrylic yarn.

3  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / The Ugly Blankie - My First Afghan on: April 11, 2008 05:09:03 PM
My first ever completed afghan (well, that's not a star), affectionately called "The Ugly Blankie".

There was no rhyme or reason to the color patterns..I just took all my scrap pieces of yarn, rolled them up into one huge ball, and started crocheting until it was big enough to cover my twin-sized bed.

Made from a mixture of RH: SS and CSS yarns.

4  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Handspun Capelet on: July 06, 2007 10:06:18 PM
Here's a capelet I just finished up for a personal swap with atsuko (whose giving it to her sister as a gift. Smiley ). The yarn I used was hand-spun for atsuko by another Craftster (whose name I can't seem to recall at the moment), so there has been lots of love put into this piece!

I'm sad to see it go, but I'll definitely be making one for myself once I finish up all the crafting I need to do for upcoming fairs! Smiley

Please excuse my facial expression..I seem to have fallen asleep while standing for the photo.  Tongue

5  HOME SWEET HOME / Pet-Related Crafts: Completed Projects / Cat Toys Galore! on: May 31, 2007 12:42:35 PM
For a person who has never owned a cat ( Sad ) I sure have been on a catnip toy crocheting roll!

To make them, I crochet using one strand of 100% acrylic yarn, and one strand of acrylic/nylon yarn, then I stuff the balls with alternating layers of catnip/polyfill. Each ball measures about 8-inches in diameter, and the tails are about 13-inches long.

Here's the last batch I just finished up, and I apologize for the hugeness of the pictures.

6  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Selling Crafts on Etsy.com / Need Help With Packaging! on: May 19, 2007 11:52:30 AM
I just sealed my first wholesale order!

A lady who owns a pet boutique just placed a wholesale order for a bunch of these catnip kitty toys: http://www.etsy.com/view_transaction.php?transaction_id=5459674

She has informed me that she plans to display them in a galvanized bucket (as she does with all treats/toys in her store) and has encouraged me to either individually package each toy, or to attach a tag with my Etsy info.

What I'm asking is, if I were to package each toy, what would be the cheapest yet most professional looking way to go about that? Or if I were to attach a tag, what would be the best way to go about doing that?

Any comments/suggestions are welcome, I'm just trying to get together a variety of ideas.

Thanks!  Smiley

This is my first attempt of working with cotton thread. It's nothing spectacular, but I'm proud of myself nonetheless. Smiley
