1  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Ongoing Wish Swap 66 Gallery on: January 29, 2011 01:21:11 PM
I received my package from fishstix43 today! My sister texted me to let me know it had arrived (I still have all my mail sent to my mom's house since we don't have a mailbox where we live), and I tricked her into driving 2 towns over to give it to me..mwhahaha..*ahem*  Grin

Anywho, I received a plastic bag holder (the red will go perfect with our Coke stuff..thanks!  Smiley ), and super big mircrowavable heat pillow...this one is mostly for the fiancee, and since he's 6'9" and 260 lbs. the big size is perfect for him! Also, it smells REALLY good..what scent is, fishstix?...and a vintage (Sept 1985) crochet magazine along with a super colorful skein of yarn.

Thanks so much! I love it all!

2  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Ongoing Wish Swap 66 Sign ups open HAPPY NEW WISH YEAR!! 2011 on: January 25, 2011 08:34:53 PM
I claim Eveamlizya for fingerless gloves.

This is my 3rd claim, 0 sent, 2 received.

Hi everyone! My name is Samantha (Sami), and I am a house-soon-to-be-wife.

I am 23 years old and live in South Carolina with my fiancee, Josh (an Army brat who grew up in Germany), and our very spoiled puppy, Leonidas (Leo). I am taking a semester off from school in order to figure out exactly what I want to do, but as of right now, Im pretty positive that I want to be some sort of youth counselor. Both my other half and I are huge gamers and movie buffs and spend most of our nights curled up on the couch either watching something on Netflix or playing a game. Ive also been described as a grown up emo kid by many, but yeahlol

Favorite colors include, pinks, black, greys, greens, and blues. However, I have a strong distaste for anything gold/yellow.  Themes/motifs I am partial to include creepy cute, handguns, stars, skulls/skeletons, Germany, camo (our bedroom has a camo decor..it looks a lot classier than it sounds), Coca-Cola (our kitchen has a Coke theme), Disney, things inspired by the 1940s-50s..especially if there is a futuristic or ironic twist to it, and video games.

We currently live in a small one bedroom cottage with very limited storage space, so things that serve a function are definitely preferred over strictly decorative items.

My main craft is crochet, however I have been dabbling in various other things, including candle and soap making, and Im even getting the fiance involved since Ive discovered he can make some amazing things with duct tape (wallets, roses, etc.).

Anything marked with *** is a BIG WISH. Cheesy

3  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Cuddly Cthulhu on: January 24, 2011 05:01:19 PM
I made this for Fullmoon in the Ongoing Wish Swap 66, and must admit, I was a little worried since it seems like forever since I've made an amigurumi. However, she received it today, and seemed to love it, so I figured I'd share the finished product...

Fullmoon received her amigurumi Cthulhu today, however, she isn't feeling well atm, so I figured I could post a quick shot that I took before sending him off until she could get her pics posted (which I hope she does...I love seeing stuff I make in it's new home!  Grin )
