1  Re: Ongoing Wish Swap 66 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by pawnshoppromises on: January 29, 2011 01:21:11 PM
I received my package from fishstix43 today! My sister texted me to let me know it had arrived (I still have all my mail sent to my mom's house since we don't have a mailbox where we live), and I tricked her into driving 2 towns over to give it to me..mwhahaha..*ahem*  Grin

Anywho, I received a plastic bag holder (the red will go perfect with our Coke stuff..thanks!  Smiley ), and super big mircrowavable heat pillow...this one is mostly for the fiancee, and since he's 6'9" and 260 lbs. the big size is perfect for him! Also, it smells REALLY good..what scent is, fishstix?...and a vintage (Sept 1985) crochet magazine along with a super colorful skein of yarn.

Thanks so much! I love it all!

2  Cuddly Cthulhu in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by pawnshoppromises on: January 24, 2011 05:01:19 PM
I made this for Fullmoon in the Ongoing Wish Swap 66, and must admit, I was a little worried since it seems like forever since I've made an amigurumi. However, she received it today, and seemed to love it, so I figured I'd share the finished product...

Fullmoon received her amigurumi Cthulhu today, however, she isn't feeling well atm, so I figured I could post a quick shot that I took before sending him off until she could get her pics posted (which I hope she does...I love seeing stuff I make in it's new home!  Grin )

4  Stars and Scrarves..Oh My! in Crochet: Completed Projects by pawnshoppromises on: January 16, 2011 10:00:14 AM
Okay, so really it's only one star and one scarf, but after a long hiatus from crocheting I'm happy to have not only one but TWO FOs to show off. Both are made with Caron Simply Soft acrylic yarn.

5  Re: 13 Days of Halloween Swap 2008 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by pawnshoppromises on: June 23, 2008 07:33:54 PM
On the 13th day of Halloween my partner sent to me 13 super yummy oatmeal raisin cookies, which were gobbled up by me and the boyfriend before I could even snap a pic!  Cheesy

On the 12th day of Halloween my partner sent to me 8 pieces of hand-drawn stationary & 3 hand drawn zombie greeting cards and stickers..it's all so gorgeous! My favorite is definitely the rat, though..it looks just like my Clara (R.I.P.)

On the 11th day of Halloween my partner sent to me 11 bottlecap magnets...sorry for the crappy photo..the camera I'm having to use sucks big time. Sad

On the 10th day of Halloween my partner sent to me a learn-to-cross stitch kit with 4 pages of charts she made herself..included was one to honor Clara...I can honestly say that was the first time I've ever cried over something I'm gotten in a swap. Thank you so much!

On the 9th day of Halloween my partner sent to me a bunch of random store bought goodies! Including awesome skull & star socks, and a crochet hook keychain..so that I will always be prepared, where ever I go! Smiley

On the 8th day of Halloween my partner sent to me a decorate-my-own crochet skull kit..the one she did is currently hanging from my rearview mirror. Smiley

On the 7th day of Halloween my partner sent to me a tealight holder made from a soda can, 2 crocheted chokers, crocheted skull earrings, a "suicide bracelet", a row counter bracelet, and awesome zombie inspired stitchmarkers

I can't believe I never posted this one until now...it is much larger than my others (4'6" x 5'4" to be exact), and I have since made 2 others like it for custom orders -- one was even two feet larger than this one.

7  Re: The Givers and Needers Swap Round 2 Gallery! in The Swap Gallery by pawnshoppromises on: April 12, 2008 05:39:48 PM
Here are pics of the truckload amount of stuff that I received from the wonderful Jennickell. There's books, magazines, needlepoint and cross-stitch stuff, purse handles, and an @$$load of yarn!  Shocked I've already decided I'm going to use all the white to make the boyfriend's parents an afghan for Christmas (using a pattern from one of the mags, of course. Smiley ).

Now all that's left is some post-stalking so that I can come up with a suitable "Thank You!" gift.  Wink

8  The Ugly Blankie - My First Afghan in Crochet: Completed Projects by pawnshoppromises on: April 11, 2008 05:09:03 PM
My first ever completed afghan (well, that's not a star), affectionately called "The Ugly Blankie".

There was no rhyme or reason to the color patterns..I just took all my scrap pieces of yarn, rolled them up into one huge ball, and started crocheting until it was big enough to cover my twin-sized bed.

Made from a mixture of RH: SS and CSS yarns.
