ive been spending tons of time in the kitchen so i whipped myself up an apron
it starts with a sweetheart neckline, ends with ruffles, and has a heart shaped pocket
too cute to get dirty 
(so i tried to upload some detail pix but theyre too big no matter how much ive cropped them.)

FINALLY have a post for this! I was super stoked making dinner knowing it was under $5
I made tilapia fillets and used a side of veggies green giants steamers.

7 tilapia fillets - $2.33 (bought at albertson's during buy 1 get 2 free sale)
6 tbsp lemon juice - i had a liter bottle on hand already but guessing it was about 10cents or so
2 tbsp butter - again, had on hand also but about 10 cents
2 cloves garlic - maybe 5cents,  had this at home too
2 tsp oregano - had on hand, maybe 2 cents or so
a few shakes of pepper
1 bag veggie medley green giant steamers - $1.50

total $4.10

i made 2 items from my list: my lingerie and pet towels laundry bags
not big projects but i can scratch 2 off

i have been wanting to sew laundry bags to keep my lingerie and dirty pet towels separate from regular laundry and finally got the chance today. they are quite simple and not super gorgeous but they will serve their purpose and i like them 
they were super easy to make and hang over my washer and dryer on a shower curtain using velcro

i learned how to knit and purl on my knifty knitter and seeing it come together is helping me understand how to knit on needles. i have been busy trying to adjust to my new school schedule... ugh! only 14 1/2 weeks left hahahaha. i finally got my work cell phone in so since i dont need to go to campus very often now i dyed chunks of my hair pink  i just wore a big hat when i had to go in and send a fax hahaha my heavy duty machine is in the shop  i miss it lol. but good thing it broke because i found out this shop has sewing classes on saturdays geared towards learning how to sew patterns. perfect since thats my main 2012 goal! i start mid february

today i sewed together my lingerie laundry bag and pet towel laundry bag. they arent necessarily pretty but i am actually quite proud of them. they were super simple and now my room wont be full of bras waiting for laundry day lol

I made a new tank top recon dress  this one comes complete with a ruffle!
I had a tank top that says delicious on the front and yum onthe back which i felt would be PERFECT with cupcake material
