It's gorgeous, Illiamdra! I think the textures really play well off one another.

So it'll be a bit before I post my full-costume pics, SpookyPooky is my photographer extroardinaire and she's off on an amazing soul-seeking trip in Disneyland for their Halloween Tim Burton exhibits. I'm super jealous lol. Anyhoo once she comes back we'll get together and take some pics of GoldfishGirl's amazing works!
No rush! I am so excited to see what you come up with!
Ashgraykitsune, OMG NEW BABY! I hope everything goes/went okay.
23  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Gryffindor Uniform Sweater on: October 22, 2011 09:19:24 PM
So I don't know if you all know this, but the last Harry Potter movie came out this summer. I had to dress up/see the movie at midnight/hang out with the other Pottards.
I knit a vest, borrowed my dad's shirt, and stole a pleated skirt & glasses from my Daria costume.
It's knit from Caron Country in Charcoal, Claret, and Gilded Age. The patch is from Amazon. I used the sweater pattern from the "Charmed Knit" book, but altered it to be a vest as it was summer and I was a little pressed for time.

Ignore the "Crazed Potter Fan" face.

I slapped on a bridal petticoat, more makeup than would be on my face in a month, and stomped out into the wastelands with my mother. I was trying to maintain my fierce throughout the shoot, so excuse the sass-face.
Biochic made so many wonderful things! She was a fantastic partner! Here's the pictures.

I had a failed attempt at a faux hawk. However, the synth dreads blend in fantastically with my natural hair color! I love them!

Back of the Goggles by crafty_goldfish, on Flickr
The goggles are fancy-dancy. There's studs and (I think) real leather all over them. Biochic used washers in a great way, they are even on the closure in the back.

So very very cool. Note the mouse skull and crossbones on the necklace (so clever!!!).

Cameo by crafty_goldfish, on Flickr
A shot of the cameo (which my co-workers love!), the earrings and a bit of the necklace. You can see a peek of the dreads too! I love em!

Thank you so much Biochic! I am thoroughly enamored with everything!

That roadkill bottle cap bracelet is so fancy!
26  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Completed Projects / Tonks Teeshirt for the Deathly Hallows Premiere! on: October 18, 2011 07:41:40 PM
I stencilled this teeshirt for my friend who went as Tonks.

It was too hot to wear a wig, so she just wore clip-in extensions. Also, I made the Death Eater mask and knit my own freaking vest!

Sorry to double-post, ladies, but I figured out how to download pictures onto my new computer.
Here's a preview shot of all the wonderful loot Biochic sent me! She made so much cool swag! Look it!
