My sons nursery is decorated in the same series! Although I stopped at bedding, pics and curtains, your room looks awesome! Did you free hand the wall murals?

14  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Re: My GIANT beach/park bag on: October 27, 2008 08:16:46 PM
Thats a great bag! I have two kids as well, and when we go out, I end up with two large bags hauling all the snacks, toys, diapers, bottles, blankets, and soon to be toques, mitts, etc etc. Often I use my large Costco grocery bag  Cheesy I may have to try a bag like yours!

I know this is an older post, but I just came upon it and I have to say this is my favorite! I've spent weeks looking at diaper bags, from a store or from etsy or other tutorials, etc. And this is exactly what I've been picturing in my mind.

Can I ask if you sell these anywhere? Or what pattern you used? And as I know how crafty everyone here is, if you made the pattern yourself, are you sharing it? I so want one of these bags, I have a toddler and a wee babe and I'm dragging around two bags because neither works very well.

I love those! I would love to have a little girl one day, I just don't think my son would forgive me if I put butt ruffles on his pants  Cheesy

Thanks everyone! Sorry I've been on vacation so didn't see your replies earlier. After using these for over a week, I have to say they may be my favorite pants for him (for play). I have several more old pants that will soon be new pants for him!
19  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Discussion and Questions / Re: Anyone reconstruct adult clothing into kids'? on: May 10, 2007 08:56:12 PM
I just made some pants for ds from an old pair of pajama bottoms from my hubby. I followed the tut here http://www.rookiemoms.com/make-some-easy-kids-pants/. They were so quick and easy and he wore them all day today, they fit perfect!

I made a pair of play pants for ds after not being able to find anything plain enough or cheap enough for the wear and tear my boy puts on his play clothes. I used this tutorial ( http://www.rookiemoms.com/make-some-easy-kids-pants/ ) which I think I got from a post here, and a pair of his pajama bottoms for a template. I cut up an old pair of pajama bottoms that my hubby passed to me, that I passed to my 'recycle drawer'. Also, they took next to no time at all to make. They're lightweight and should be great for playing outside! And they fit nicely over his cloth diaper butt. They're slightly big, but hopefully will last him a little longer. The only thing else is I want to reinforce the knees, I think I'll just sew on some patches from an old sweatshirt or something. I can't wait to make him more!
