I have a 4yo and a 1yo, both who require 'stuff' when we go out. Not as much stuff as when my youngest was a newborn, so I don't need a big diaper bag anymore. But more stuff then will fit in my little day to day purse. So what's a mom to do?

Make an inbetween bag! I used this awesome tutorial, and I love love love my new bag. It fits all the things I need to carry (diaper change kit, drinks, snacks, my stuff, some toys, plus the little bit of stuff I carry. I added four inner pockets (one is for my cell phone) and a key ring so my key's don't just fall to the bottom. It's a magnetic snap so it's easy for me to just reach in and grab something. The strap fits comfortably over my shoulder so that I can have my hands free.

I used some lightweight fusible interfacing to give it a little structure/body without making it stiff. The strap I basically just made a wide binding strip instead of turning a tube (so much easier). I used about 3/4m for the outer, so with the leftovers I'm thinking of making a matching zipper pouch and tissue holder, etc.

Love these little pouches! I've been hemming and hawing over what kind of little pouch/wallet to make as a gift, and this will be perfect! I know a lot goes into a tutorial, but I would also be lining up to make one

I have just started to enjoy taking baths, I've always been a shower gal. I have some epsom salts that I really like to add to the bath. But I also have some Burts Bees Apricot Oil that I used on my baby. Can I add some of that to the salts to make it smell nice? Is it something I can make in a bigger batch and then just use a portion of when I have a bath? I don't want to waste the oil if it doesn't work. Thanks!

I love these! I threw together a quick zip pouch for my 3yo ds's snack bag for playschool, but don't really like it. I have some Thomas The Tank Engine material that would be perfect for a new bag, but I wasn't sure what style bag would be best. And this is it! I think he'll be starting school in the new year with a new bag! Thanks for the inspiration!
