4  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Wedding Dress Help?! Need help figuring out the skirt! on: January 19, 2011 06:29:45 AM
So my Army man and I have been talking about marriage within the next year, and he said I could go on with planning what I wanted as long as I didn't book any site/services yet. So I decided I'd put my crafty skills to the test and make my dress since I have WAY too much time on my hands. I found a BEAUTIFUL dress from David Tutera by Faviana that I'd love to recreate. I just can't quite figure out this skirt.  Undecided

It goes from this:

To this:

I want to make and wear it like the second picture, but higher (back of the skirt hitting around my ankles/front of the skirt hitting just below my knees). Any suggestions on how to do this? I'm so confused and frustrated  Undecided Huh Angry
5  Georgia / Georgia: Central / Loganville Crafters??!!! on: January 12, 2011 08:51:39 AM
I'll be moving to Loganville-area soon, so I would like to know if there's any other sewers/crafters out in the area! I'm one of the only crafters in my current area so I don't want to be the only one in my new area!

Congrats on getting the sewing machine fixed! Your aprons look nice; and it's great to fix those jeans, isn't it?
Good Job!   Have fun in the kitchen with the new aprons!
Thanks! And we will be having tons of fun in the kitchen now!  Grin
Love it (all)!

Question Smiley

Thanks to the genetic gift of booty-liciousness and shortness, /i have plenty of baggy bottoms. Any tips/suggestions based on how you worked that out?
I have the same genetic gifts lol. The only thing I can suggest is work with a partner. There are plenty of tutes on here for fixing jeans!
