I'm new to embroidery, and me and my friend just went a craft store (she lives right next to one! Lucky, no?) and we just bought a kit. It has
-8 nursery squares of cotton/poly broadcloth.
There is a piece of fabric with the patterns on it and then another piece of blank white fabric. There is no direction and we dont know what to do!
-Would a backstitch (Or maybe a split stitch?) be best to embroider the animals?
-What do we do with the extra piece of white fabric?
-And how do we backstitch?
-Would a french knot be used to do the eyes?
We've looked online on how to backstitch, but the websites put instructions in hard to understand terms.
I know my crafter buddies can help us out on this! :]
Sorry if these questions are stupid, but we're clueless! Thanks. :]
