61  QUILTING / Quilting: Discussion and Questions / While You Were Out Mermaid Quilt on: May 31, 2005 05:52:13 PM
I know some were looking for photos of the super unique mermaid quilt from While You Were Out.

Here is a link and you need to click on While You Were Out and it is in one of the collage of photos.  Pretty good photo too.

62  Arizona / Arizona: Central / Flea Markets? on: February 28, 2005 01:24:45 PM
Anyone know of any good flea markets in the Phoenix area?

I like the ones that have the used stuff like a large garage sale.

63  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Tooth Fairy Monster on: February 25, 2005 06:32:28 PM
Artie Joe lost his first tooth yesterday so I made him this tooth pillow/bag.

He loves it!

64  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Racket Monster on: February 23, 2005 07:20:42 PM
I made this monster for my son, Artie Joe.
He likes the Ugly dolls so it is fashioned sort of like them.
He wanted to name him Racket - he said like the noise.

I have two more to make for my girls.  I will post when I get them done.

Stacia, my 8 year old, made a bunch of patterns herself so I will pick one to follow.

65  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / The Real Mother Goose on: February 20, 2005 07:01:43 PM
This is the real Mother Goose - goose feet and all.

Kind of funky.

I made her from my Daughter's preschool teacher.  She was Mother Goose for Halloween.

66  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Minnie Mouse on: February 18, 2005 05:23:26 PM
Okay, I know this isn't super hip but I sew mostly for my kids.

You all inspire me so much with what you create.

I made this for my 2 year old, Lydia, out of a pair of Baby GAP jeans and some dot fabric I found garage selling.

The patch I took off a skill type cap for a baby.

The are halter style with the back taken out and elastic put in.  They are for her 1st trip to Disneyland.

Hope you like!

67  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Fraying/Curling Jean Hems??? on: February 18, 2005 05:13:43 PM
I have another question.

Has anyone frayed jeans with about 1/2" frays that curl?

I hope that makes sense.

I have been trying to figure out how to do it.

68  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Triangle Inserts Question??? on: February 18, 2005 05:10:30 PM
Hey Everyone.

I have a question.

I want to add a triangle insert to a pair of my Daughter's jeans.

Do I just open up the side and then cut the triangle and sew it in?

Is it that easy?
