21  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Silhouette on: January 31, 2009 09:15:25 PM
I teach pre-k and was looking for something to put on the cover of these scrapbooks I make of all the kids artwork etc. I give to the Mom's for Mother's Day.  I decided to do silhouettes on the cover.  This is my trial one I made with my 6 year old daughter's profile.  She has a real cute profile.  She has a little upturned nose.

I followed this tutorial

22  COOKING / Recipes and Cooking Tips / Halloween Dinner on: November 01, 2008 07:28:27 AM
This is our Halloween dinner my 12 year old Daughter and I made for the rest of the family last night.  Meatloaf Mice, Ghost Potatoes & green swap beans.  The meatloaf recipe was from the Pillsbury website but any meatloaf recipe would work.

23  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Ghoul Scout Costume & Sash UPDATE on: October 30, 2008 06:26:17 PM
I saw some pretty cool Ghoul Scout sashes on Crafster so this is my take on it for my real 12 year old Girl Scout.  I had help from another Craster on making the patches.  My Daughter loves it!

This is my Daughter after trick or treating.  Her hair was cuter before we left as I had put a soda can in her ponytail to make it stick up like the twister girl costume that is posted on Crafster.

24  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Dying Question on: July 20, 2008 09:55:00 AM
I want to make a Ghoul Scout costume for my Girl Scout Daughter for Halloween.
She wanted something not too kiddish because she is starting middle school this year.

Do you think I could buy a girl scout sash (the green one) and dye it black?  They are only $5 or $6 then I could make the patches.

Thanks!

29  HOME SWEET HOME / Exterior Decorating / Yard Art / Gardening: Completed Projects / Pizza Garden on: June 27, 2007 05:54:01 PM
My older kids, 8 & 10 are at camp so my 4 year old Lydia and myself decided to make good use out of a tractor tire my husband brought home.  We planted a small pizza garden with two green peppers, two oreganos, two sweet basils and some cherry tomatoes.

30  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Gotta love a garage sale overalls on: April 21, 2007 05:35:34 PM
I picked up all this fabric at two different garage/rummage sales and put it to good use by making my Daughter some patchwork overalls.
I fused all the patchwork down but folded under the edges then hand stitched the decorative stitching with black embroidery floss.
