671  COOKING / Recipes and Cooking Tips / Re: Healthy Lunch on: February 20, 2005 08:58:52 PM
I use to make these for lunch a lot.

Pita bread, sliced avacados, bean sprouts and tomatoes, lettuce topped with nonfat plain yogurt.

It was pretty good.

You can add mores veggies or meat like turkey or red onions.

672  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / The Real Mother Goose on: February 20, 2005 07:01:43 PM
This is the real Mother Goose - goose feet and all.

Kind of funky.

I made her from my Daughter's preschool teacher.  She was Mother Goose for Halloween.

These are so cute!

Did you use fleece?

Also, about how big are the?

GREAT job!  My kids would love these.

Beats an Easter Bunny in their baskets!

This turned out so darling!

I bet your daughter loved it?

I will have to try something like that from my 2 year old.

She is crazy for dogs so maybe a doggy in the same dress as her.

GREAT job !!!

I think it turned out so cute!

The birds are really fun and should catch the babies eyes with the nice colors.

Love the ribbons to play or chew!

GREAT job!

I want to try to make one with the Eye Spy cards for my Girl, Stacia.

678  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Minnie Mouse on: February 18, 2005 05:23:26 PM
Okay, I know this isn't super hip but I sew mostly for my kids.

You all inspire me so much with what you create.

I made this for my 2 year old, Lydia, out of a pair of Baby GAP jeans and some dot fabric I found garage selling.

The patch I took off a skill type cap for a baby.

The are halter style with the back taken out and elastic put in.  They are for her 1st trip to Disneyland.

Hope you like!

679  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Fraying/Curling Jean Hems??? on: February 18, 2005 05:13:43 PM
I have another question.

Has anyone frayed jeans with about 1/2" frays that curl?

I hope that makes sense.

I have been trying to figure out how to do it.

680  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Triangle Inserts Question??? on: February 18, 2005 05:10:30 PM
Hey Everyone.

I have a question.

I want to add a triangle insert to a pair of my Daughter's jeans.

Do I just open up the side and then cut the triangle and sew it in?

Is it that easy?
