1  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: Decorative Matchboxes on: January 19, 2011 02:15:53 AM
Thank you everyone! I got the matchboxes at the dollar store and they probably took a couple minutes a piece. I tend to set up and work on many things at once. With these, I started the backgrounds and covering the labels all together at first, and then added one or two things per matchbox each time around. My system is an odd one, but it works for me. I am still learning how to work with my incredibly short attention span....
2  GLASS CRAFTS / Glass Crafts: Completed Projects / Re: First day w/glass etching. on: January 18, 2011 02:48:49 PM
I'm glad you guys like them! :-) I used glass etching cream that I got just under $10 at my local craft store. The bird one came out pink in the picture by accident, I think it was the way the light in the room and the fabric behind it. I have yet to venture into coloring the glass. I will be testing it out soon though!

I was pleased with the way some of these came out. I am obviously still learning different techniques, timing, and brushing. I thought I would share! Comments are welcomed. :-)

Thank you! I had a lot of fun creating the package and I was pleased with how the box with all of the hippo stuff came out. My swap partner said she liked it but didn't say anything of detail. I just hope she liked it all as much as I did.
