1  First day w/glass etching. in Glass Crafts: Completed Projects by K80 on: January 16, 2011 05:53:13 PM
I was pleased with the way some of these came out. I am obviously still learning different techniques, timing, and brushing. I thought I would share! Comments are welcomed. :-)

2  Completed Birthday Swap Package (pic heavy) in Completed Projects by K80 on: October 01, 2010 12:19:25 PM
I thought I would post some pictures of the package I just sent out for a swap I did on Swap-bot.com. It was an October Swap and my partner really likes Hippos and Hello Kitty, so I pretty much went with that. I like how the case came out, but the lighting was bad when I took the pictures so a lot of the details are left out.

This is the group picture before I wrapped everything up.
There is the shoebox I spray painted with the stencil I used (I sent that along too), 2 matchboxes that match the case, with small cavas patches on top with tiny birthday cards inside, hippo earrings, magnets, and a zipper pull, 3 hippo painted wooden pieces, sewn hippo pillow-thing holding 1 hippo pin and 5 Hello Kitty pins, a (purchased) birthday card and a sheet of Hello Kitty Stickers.

Outside of case.

Inside of empty case.

Inside of full case.

Sewn Hippo Pillow-thing With pins. (first time sewing something like that, it didn't come out the way I wanted.)

Ready to go.

3  Envelopes made for a coupon swap. (pic heavy) in Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General by K80 on: September 29, 2010 03:21:48 PM
These are the envelopes I made for my first swap on swap-bot.com for a coupon swap. I had more fun than I thought I would with such a simple swap! I can't wait to do swaps on craftster!

Sealed and on it's way to the post office:

4  Decorative Matchboxes in Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by K80 on: September 24, 2010 01:34:28 PM
I had fun making these but feel like I could have done way more with them. I tend to go light on the first round to new projects (wish I wouldn't be such a wuss about it sometimes.)
Some of my first matchboxes:

5  Painted Day of the Dead Skulls in Halloween Decor and Parties by K80 on: September 24, 2010 01:14:35 PM
I suppose I should post these under "Halloween" although I love sugar skulls all year round. Halloween is my favorite time of year. The decorations, themes, and styles are all my favorite, the weather here in New England is perfect, not to mention the changing of the leaves, but the fact that my birthday is just 2 days before Halloween probably has something to do with it.
Here are some of the first three skulls that I have painted this year:

And some unfinished statuettes:

Nothing is touching the surface where food would be placed.

Here are some more detailed shots of one of them:

Noting but the surface of the plate.

7  Pin-Up Dinner Plates in Completed Projects by K80 on: September 24, 2010 12:17:25 PM
I have started a new line of dinner plates.
I am still working out a few details. These are my first three:

These ones are made with plain glass plates, pin-up girl cut-outs, modge podge, and spray paint.
They are completely usable and hand-washable. I used them for a sexy candle light dinner that I made for my boyfriend last night.
