I seemed to have a few more stitches after the first few rounds than the pattern says, but it seemed to work out fine.

5  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / Long Live Martha Stewart! on: March 02, 2005 07:55:24 PM
So...I know she's not perfect...but who is?  I, for one, am glad she is getting out.  She is an inspiration and an amazing business person.  So her instructions might not always be perfect and her crafts might be expensive, but really, don't you think the world is a better place for her work?
6  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / Ideas for guitar strap???? Crafting for husband's hobby! on: February 25, 2005 01:45:59 PM
Hey - I've searched guitar strap and haven't found much -  a couple refs, but no pix.  Can anyone point me in the right direction, give ideas or sites for inspiration?  Crochet especially interests...  Thanks.

P.S.  Husband bought brand new guitar today  - his new hobby!
7  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / Ace Hardware and Crafting...Ideas? on: February 24, 2005 08:23:06 AM
Hello all.  My husband manages an Ace Hardware and I am crafty but not always originally creative.  Since we get a small discount and I have regular access, I'm looking for some crafty ideas made with basic hardware store items (beyond buying paint and tape and glue!)  I once saw some candlesticks made from plumbing fittings (maybe in ReadyMade or BL) that looked cool, but I don't have that cool urban look going on anywhere in my apt..  Any ideas...
8  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Help wanted : Cream blanket with interesting yarn on: February 24, 2005 07:06:05 AM
Hey!   My brother is getting married in July and his future wife is all into a very serene, natural, spa, Zen look.  I was thinking of crocheting a cream blanket with 2-4 different yarns for texture.  Anyone have a good pattern idea?  I'm going for simple but interesting.  Thanks!
