Oof!  I'm not sure why I had so much trouble with these pictures! lol  First I couldn't find my camera, and then the batteries were dead, and then I couldn't get them uploaded.  Who knows!  ANYwho, I have received from indigo_roses and Fontiua so far, so I thought i'd show off the LOVELY squares I've received ^_^

Here's what I got from indigo_roses:

And here is what i got from Fontiua!

Aren't they cute! ^_^

Yay!!! Everyone's beads look so shiny and pretty!  lol I feel like a little kid in a candy store when I look at all the gallery shots.
And speaking of gallery shots, here is what I received from crassy_mcnasty!

First up, the crafted item:

A super-long pair of adorable earrings (seriously, they're like 5+ inches long!) ^_^

Next up, the "group" shot ^_^

helpfully sorted by watch_it_break, who also helped me take pictures because my camera is super-lazy

(somehow I missed getting the seed beads in anyof the close-ups, but they're in a big pile in the groupshot ^_^)

Here's a close-up of the glass, shell, and metal beads:

Those pearls in the  bottom right are already destined for a rosary Cheesy

And a close-up of the plastic, acrylic, and stone beads:

Those red  plastic bows are too cute!

And finally, a close-up of the focal pieces!

LOVE that octopus!

All in all, a thoroughly enjoyable swap.  Thanks again to both my swap partners, jennieingram and crassy_mcnasty!

WARNING: Kinda pic heavy (because jennieingram is AWESOME!)

Soooooo I received this afternoon from jennieingram, and opened it at my best friend's house, and she was totally jealous! muahaha

First, the group shot:

I kind of wish I'd thought to divide my packages into individual bags, because that makes everything so pretty ^_^

I kind of love all of the charms, and a couple of pairs have already been pulled to be used for projects, and I am in LOVE with those blue ones in the bottom left corner!

So I put in my questionnaire that I make rosaries for missions from plastic, wood, and acrylic  beads, and each of the baggies shown here have enough for a rosary!  you can also see the two FABULOUS crafted items she made, but better pics of those in a sec!

Cute tribal mask and coordinating beads that I'm fairly certain my brother would adore ^_^

Soooo pretty!  I especially love the glass pearls in multiple shades of purple Cheesy

And now, for the crafted items!

I swear this woman crawled into my closet and designed these earrings.  I have a blouse that they will go PERFECTLY with, that I hardly ever wear, because I never had  cute earrings that matched it!

Last but certainly not least, my super duper favorite, an amazing bookmark that captures my love of reading AND my love of shiny things! ^_^

Jennieingram, songs will be composed that tell of your awesome awesomeness!

4  Re: Frugal Living 4: Frugal is the NEW BLACK! Gallery in The Swap Gallery by lissablair on: May 10, 2011 07:58:43 PM
Woo!  Finally received!  I've been flooded out at my parents' house for a day or two, so I'm just now able to open my box, and what a box of delights it is!!

First up is this adorable key holder with its own little cabinet to hold meds or anything else of importance!  DH is hanging it up as we speak ^_^

Next up is a pair of spring-themed snack bags that the kid has already claimed for her special snacks, and a lovely soft washcloth that goes well with my bathroom:

Here's a whole bunch of scrapbooking paper that I'm just itching to dive into!  I've been wanting to get more into scrapbooking for a while, and this gives me the perfect opportunity!

And finally, a TON of stickers to go along with the scrapbooking paper, and I suspect that a certain little girl will be looking for things to put stickers on VERY shortly ^_^

Thank you so much redpopsicles, you're awesome!!

I can't believe I haven't posted any pics yet!  Here are all my squares that I've received, and I think that this is the layout I'm going to use for the quilt (plus some squares that I still need to make up from the extra strips that some people included! ^_^)

Ohhhhhhhhh my god my partner, VegasZombie, is AMAZING! She's a freaking mindreader! Holy Crap. ^_^  Apologies for being so pic-heavy, but I had to show off her awesomeness!

All right, here's the goods:
First, the super-stuffed box before the kid and I tore into it:

Next, the totally sweet yarns and flower pins that I already have a project in mind for ^_^:

Here's the totally badass retro apron in my FAVORITE colors, blue and black, modeled by DH's monitor, since I'm the only one home right now who can operate a camera:

And here's the incredible candy haul that puts Halloween to shame!

Ok, seriously, the whole time we chatted, I never ONCE mentioned that the stop-action TV specials "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer" and "Santa Claus is Coming to Town" are absolutely my favorite christmas movies EVER.  How did she know?!?! And she also included not one, but TWO!! chocolate oranges, the absolute best chocolate in the world.

Obligatory action shot of "blue monster sucker! yay!"

In keeping with the christmas theme, she tucked in these rocking buttons that have already found a home on my crafting tote, as well as my new favorite christmas ornaments:

Here's the adorable little door that the kid has already claimed for her fairies.  There was a matching blue treasures box that somehow in all the chaos didn't get uploaded:

Two beautifully crafted Tree of Life pendants (again, how did you know?!?! I love them SOOO much!):

And finally, the pièce de résistance, and a threat that gets thrown around my kitchen on a weekly basis:

VegasZombie, you are truly amazingly, incredibly awesome! I love it all!

7  Han and Leia Amigurumi in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by lissablair on: November 18, 2010 05:57:10 AM
I just finished my first swap, and I wanted to show off these dolls that I made for my partner!  I wanted to make a flat, weighted bottom so they would stand up on their own, so I ended up altering a couple of different patterns I found on ravelry.  Her dress, and his vest were both sewn from scrap felt I had lying around.  Hope you enjoy!

8  Tulle Pin/Brooch from leftovers in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by lissablair on: October 01, 2010 05:00:09 PM
Here's a flower brooch that I created from a cream tulle remnant and some spare buttons from my mom's stash.  I've never worked with tulle before, and I was pleased with the way it turned out ^_^

I think the button colors show up better in this one, they're actually a deep purple, not black..
