Ok everyone! I received a wonderful package from Edel today!!!!! LOVE it all! Lots of pictures so bear with me Wink

Here is the package before I dug into it! She made this awesome tote bag that is really heavy duty with such great fabric!
She filled it with some wrapped goodies!

This the lining fabric! Love it!

Ok, here is the whole package at a glance!

Just look at all the awesomness!

This an amazing piece of wall art! She used different papers, paints and buttons! So cheery and pretty! I just love looking at it!

I requested some Book of Shadows pages, so she sent 4 really unique and inspiring pages with different designs on the front and backs!

Then she made some lovely jewelry!

I love the center piece! It looks to made of shell, it has a really pretty sheen to it that the camera didn't pick up!

Then this cute little slide pendant with a map background! A house on one side and a stamp on the other!

Then a piece of this hand dyed and stamped fabric!

A carved stamp!

And this amazing journal!!!! That is filled with so much thought and talent!

She has a separate thread for this so I added this link so you can see what she put into this!

Thanks SO MUCH Edel!!! I will swap with you anytime!!!!

24  Re: WWP 42 Ostara Egg-stravaganza Gallery in The Swap Gallery by mandykaye on: March 24, 2013 06:24:58 AM
This is what I sent to thesillyseemstress.
She wished for a goddess/spirit doll and a hoop. I'm not much of a seemstress myself so I did the best i could lol!

For my egg inspired item I made this bright feathery candle wreath...

I made this simple hoop inspired by the stuff I had in my stash...

The goddess doll was inspired by one of her Pins....I hand stitched it all so don't look too closely lol!

And the painting is titled "The Hare Moon" and I thought it fitting for Ostara. I painted it in January hoping to use it for this swap Wink

26  Winter paintings in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by mandykaye on: February 13, 2013 12:48:27 AM
I had this painting I started last spring but had a hard time with the face...it was inspired by a picture i saw in a catalogue. Finally I decided to finish her once and for all! LOL! I ended up going with a model in a magazine ad for the face...

("Cold Moon" acrylic on 8"x10"canvas board)
I'm not totally happy with the hair but that is one area I still need to improve upon! Since, that was finished I was inspired to paint a couple more!
This one had a second round to it as well since i wasn't happy with the right side of the painting...I'm still not quite happy with it either lol!

("A Northern Night" acrylic on 8"x10" canvas board)

Next I tried for a little mix of paint and paper for this one!

("Hare Moon" acrylic and paper on 8"x10" canvas board)
I used some fun shimmery metallic paints for the background! I like how this turned out...different anyways!
Thanks for looking and any helpful hints would be great!

30  Fall/Autumn Projects! in Completed Projects by mandykaye on: October 25, 2012 10:39:42 PM
I was in a couple fall related swaps and wanted to share some of the things I made!

First up was this Pinterest inspired witchy sign! I just bought a wooden framed out blank sqaure at Walmart and went to town with the craft paint! I started with a black base then added two different orange colors using a foam brush. I free-handed the hat and letters. Then I just tied off some plaid ribbon and tacked it to the back!

Next is a spoon wand that I have been inspired to make since I received a gorgeous one from Knickertwist in a swap last year! I took a wooden spoon and woodburned the symbol for Hecate and Prosperity. I then used an orange paint wash over it. I wound some plaid ribbin around the handle with some eucalyptus and wire. I embelished with a pentagram charm and orange feather.

This next project, I just took a plain craft hand broom and embellished with some eucalyptus, ribbon, raffia, cinnamon sticks, pinecones and glass leaves.

Then I made a charm bracelet with all things fall! I mixed different metallic tones so my partner could wear it with almost anything Wink

Thanks for looking!!!
