What about a Molly Monkey swap?  mmmcrafts has supplied a free pattern to make a cute Molly Monkey.  Check out her link to a Flickr photo stream of all who have created a Molly Monkey.  They're so darn cute!

3  SEWING IN GENERAL / Machine Embroidery: Completed Projects / Re: Threadcatcher from jeans pant leg on: February 08, 2011 05:32:18 PM
Great idea, thank you.  I have yet to get an embroidery machine, but I plan on getting one in the next year or two. I think I'll substitute the embroidery design with a small quilt square instead.

Great job!  Love your fabrics.  I found this pattern as well and will be making it for my granddaughter 1st BD.  You have inspired me!
8  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Re: Sock Monkey Army! on: February 08, 2011 04:23:00 PM
Your monkeys are very well done, love the colors.  I made sock kitties for my granddaughter and her friends for Christmas.  They were a big hit.

She's really cute.  I have yet to try the doll velour.  Is it easy to work with?
