121  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Completed Projects / My first stencils (and topic) Mario, Tank girl & Pinky and the Brain! on: October 26, 2010 09:02:18 AM
So after seeing all the amazing stenciled shirts on here I decided to have a go myself, after finally hunting down freezer paper here in the UK I started cutting Smiley

The first one I made. I made the stencil in Photoshop by adjusting the contrast, I didn't leave any bridges though so I just worked them out as I cut it. I think it turned out pretty well for a first attempt but I was a little impatient painting it and it's bled a bit around the edges.

A Mario one I made for myself, I got the stencil from google. I think this one turned out pretty well.

My favourite one so far, Tank Girl Smiley I made this one for my boyfriend and he loved it. This one took forever though, the stencil was A3 size and it took around 3 hours to cut out. I think it was worth it though, I've just started making another Tank Girl one for me because I love it so much.

I'd love to know what you guys think of them. Thanks for looking.

I love those owls.

I've never heard of tatting before, I might have to give it ago if I can find a good tutorial.

I really like these. I wouldn't mind having a go at some if you would share the pattern Smiley

I love your necklaces, I've just ordered a huge pack of Shrinkies to have a go at jewellery making. Do you paint them with acrylics then? I remember when I used to colour them and they never turned out that well.
125  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Re: Game Sprite Cross-stitchs on: October 04, 2010 04:09:06 AM
I love the one up mushroom. I'm working on a Mario sprite at the minute, he's tiny but it's taking ages. I'd never have the patience for something big either.

All the patterns I've found for beanbags are the pumpkin shape ones, how did you get him so round?
129  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Re: Mario quilt for the bf! (FINALLY FINISHED!) **NOW WITH TUT! on: September 20, 2010 02:20:33 AM
This looks amazing, I especially love Boo Smiley

I've been planning something similar for a while now, I've just been daunted by the 100's of squares I have to cut out. This has inspired me to get started though. How long did it take you to complete it?
