31  Re: Sea Swap Gallery! in The Swap Gallery by tenrec on: June 18, 2006 11:00:46 AM
They're here!  They're here!  My envelope came in the mail yesterday, and I am a happy, happy girl!!!  You would be too, if you were the lucky recipient of what koi sent me.  Here, I'll show you:

These are the three "small items" - a belt made out of jute or a similar twine with sea shells, sea shell earrings, and a necklace with glass beads in the colors of the sea.  Here's a close-up of the necklace:

Isn't it gorgeous?  I'll wear it all the time...  But my favorite part was the "big" present - a great stenciled (or silk-screened?) squid t-shirt:

Just look at the adorable squid:
(and yes, the glass necklace exactly matches the t-shirt - even better!)

Thanks, koi!  I love everything!  I hope you like what I sent you...

P.S. clicking on any of the pictures should take you to a page where you can see them larger if you want to...

Check thriftstores for crockpots. They often have them for less than $5. Also, be careful leaving it unattended because you can exhaust all of the water and ruin the whole shebang. Someone in blogland did it [although I can't remember specifically who], so I would imagine it is rare, but I wouldn't want it to happen to me.

Um, that might be me (although it was on the stovetop, not crockpot).  Grey's Anatomy just sucked me right in.

Anyway, the whole story here: www.snargle.org/crafty/archives/000418.html

Great cardi in a very cool color!  For a more "muted" version (very similar to the one in the book), I just finished one, too.

All of the details are posted on my blog: http://www.snargle.org/crafty/
