1  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Re: Gray Warden Motto Cross Stitch on: June 25, 2014 09:36:35 PM
I LOVE THIS.

This would give you a +10 with Alistair for sure.  Sentimental boy.

The aging/blood is perfect.
2  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Cthulu and Heart Dress (it's for a baby) on: August 27, 2011 09:12:54 PM
The dress/top is super easy, and easy to customize.
3  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: First lace project I've ever blocked!!!! on: July 14, 2011 12:59:28 PM
Gorgeously detailed!  Good job.  I'm so impressed by lace knitting.  I've relatively recently learned how to do yarn overs at all.
4  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Cthulu and Heart Dress (it's for a baby) on: July 14, 2011 12:56:19 PM
This is my biggest stranded knitting project.

I modified the chart from the Cthulu Dice Bag from AntiCraft to get the individual Cthulus (one on the front, and one on the back).  The cthulus are two stitches taller than the hearts, and the heart chart and distance between the hearts and the cthulus I made up.  (Basic charts are crazy easy to make).

You can just see the cthulu in the middle back...

Sorry my baby's so bald  Cheesy

Apparently you shouldn't read Lovecraft stories to an infant, unless you want them to make faces like this...

It's made out of cotton, organic because she likes to stuff things in her mouth while I'm making them.
Also, it's HUGE because I made a 1 year old size, and made it a little longer than the pattern called for.  It's actually a shirt, but right now it works as a dress.
5  CROCHET / Projects from The Happy Hooker by Debbie Stoller / Skull Potholders for the road on: July 14, 2011 12:41:42 PM
This was supposed to be my road trip project, but I did most of the driving.  So I did it while not on the road Cheesy

You can see I forgot the nose for one of 'em.  My husband pointed out that one looks like a normal skull, and one looks like an alien.

It's made out of Lion Brand Cotton.  I forget what their 100% cotton yarn is called, but that's the one.  It's black and neonish green, apologies for the sub par crap photos.
6  Oregon / Oregon: Northwest / Re: If you shop at Michael's check your bank accounts! on: June 13, 2011 09:34:53 PM
Bah. Thanks for sharing. Thankfully I haven't had time to craft shop and I'm on a self afflicted stash diet.
7  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: What are you knitting this summer? on: May 26, 2011 10:43:51 PM
I'm knitting this: http://blog.rosahoban.co.uk/2009/07/happy-summer-vest.html in green with some white stripes and a row of hearts with a few cthulus thrown in for good measure.  I'll hopefully post pics someday, it's much cooler than it sounds Cheesy

I haven't been on craftster much lately - with the babe, I don't get much time on the internet period.  I have been making it to a Monday night yarny meetup that just changed locations from Coffee Lovers to Bar Carlo on SE Foster.  If anyone's into that, I might see you NEXT Monday (what is that, the first Monday of June?  Geez, I hope my brain starts working before I go back to work this Sunday).  It's at 630pm every Monday.  There's a ravelry link somewhere...  http://www.ravelry.com/discuss/se-pdx-fibre-squad/1416051/176-200#195
9  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: New Baby and Pregnant Mama Swap 2 (Signups through 4/21, Sendouts 5/27) on: April 04, 2011 12:09:26 PM
I'll fill out my questionnaire as soon as I can.  It's been a while since I've done a non-person-I-know-irl swap
10  Oregon / Oregon: Northwest / Re: 2011 Craftster Meet Ups on: April 01, 2011 12:28:58 AM
My schedule's too weird to base a meeting on but I will try to come to whatever is planned.  If a lot of / most people can make a Friday evening that sounds like a good start.  Anyone got any good locales? There's always bipartisan cafe.. Or guapos comics on foster if they're open Friday evenings.  Im just on this potrable internet device and surfing multiple sites sucks but I can look up their hours later.     It would be good to see y'all again and meet some new folks.
