this is a portrait of my best friend carl.  he is a bad lil buddy, but that is why i love him!

i made this for my boyfriend during hurricane paula!  used a lazy daisy style stitch for the raindrops.  it actually looks a lot like him for it being a stick figure... hope you likey!

hey guys!  so here is a picture of one of my best guy friends that he gave a homeless man 5 dollars to draw...  i think there is something so amazing about this drawing, it is sort of legendary amongst our friend group.  it sort of captures josh i a strange way, even though it look nothing like him!  so what i'm wondering is do you think i can even make this into a piece?  and if so do you have some ideas of how to tackle it?  i'm having a hard time starting it, and i think it will lose its charm without all the choppy lines and such.  HALLLLLPPPPPPPPPPPP P!!!!!!!!

my life long obsession with unicorns is now immortalized, HUZZAH!  i found a good pic of a horse online and gave it a trace and free handed some shadows and a horn a voila!  my unicorn!  the stitching is pretty basic and i did it in about 45 mins, but the horn is sorta cool.  i did a satin stitch and then went back over with diagonal stitches to make it raised and like a spiral.  hope you believers in magic like it!
 

soooooooo these pictures don't do it justice to my squirrrl girl, but i'm pretty happy with her.  she's my third embroidery piece and one of the only artistic thing i've done that i haven't wanted to throw in a bonfire!  she took me about two or three hours and the mushroom took me about thirty minutes.  i raced through both of them so there are LOTs of imperfections and general wonky-ness, maybe one day i'll find patience to take my time, but for now you guys get THESE!

i'm a newbie to embroidering, here is my first paper piece.  my love of carl sagan inspired it, i kinda have a crush on him.  i just winged it and didn't get very fancy with my stitches since paper is a total pain to work with.

okay guys this is my second piece of embroidery!  i'm totally hooked!  i made this for two friends who are recently engaged, they want to start a collection of "home sweet home" wall hangings.  the bunny tails are french knots, and besides that i just winged it with some split stitches and back stitches.  i hope you like it, it is my first post to craftster.
