Thanks.  It's actually ruffled crepe paper.  I just hand sewed a running stitch down the center of the paper and then gathered it.  It's also sprinkled with glass glitter, but I'm not sure if that shows up in the pic.

I looked at the same magazine and was wanting to make these.  I was just waiting to find the bride and groom figurines at a thrift store.  I never thought about the Dollar Tree!  These are awesome and you did a great job!

This is the second installment in my Bottle Babies series.  He was very fun to make except for the part where I had to slice the wings of a locust (it was dead before I de-winged it).  He makes me smile every time I look at him.
