I am in love with vintage luggage but kept passing it up due to no use for them. I found this idea for upcycling floating around pineterest and went to work. I purchased an old structurally sound box (I think it originally held a typewriter). I painted it. then measured the inside to cut out cardboard for the bottom and sides. I covered the cardboard with fabric, add a pocket to the lid portion by sewing a few stitches to the lid heavy cardboard. Then hot glue gunned it all in place. Here is the finished product.
This now houses all my embroidery craft items in one place for easy transport.

Here is a flute case I found and now am using it for my long knitting needles.

I will no longer pass up these jewels at the local thrift store.
