1  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Brea Bag crazy! on: November 28, 2007 08:39:50 AM
Those are nice! I love SWS, but I don't think it had appeared in the stores when I made a Brea.  I might have to do it again.
2  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Spiral Boot Socks, hand-dyed style! on: September 06, 2007 06:21:05 PM
Ooooh, what an awesome dye job!  Those look great!
3  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Re: Chocobo Tin! on: August 01, 2007 05:20:49 PM
That is awesome!  I have three Chocobo dolls (and a Mog) in my bedroom, so that made me smile.  It looks just like the opening to the Chocobo Tales game, too!
4  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Lain bear hat pattern on: July 27, 2007 07:53:42 AM
I'd like a pattern for that too.  I just went to an anime convention and the clothing was on the pricey side.  I'd rather make something like that myself since I wouldn't be wearing it that often.

The only hats I've seen like that have been for small children.  If you're into modifying patterns you could size it up, maybe?

If I find something though, I'll post the link.
5  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Roza Socks from Spring 2007 IK on: March 20, 2007 09:19:20 PM
They're dead simple to knit, but switched it up by making these socks on Panda Cotton, a bamboo/cotton/elastic blend with lots of stretch.

It fits really well so far, but I wasn't able to get a good picture of it on my foot.

The colorway is Strawberry Lime, and they were knit on size 1 circulars.  I think I'm going to be pretty happy with these!  More details on my blog is you want to visit Smiley
6  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: my first pair of socks! on: March 20, 2007 09:14:04 PM
Is that Lion Brand Magic Stripes?  I have some of that color, but haven't used it yet.  It looks pretty good knitted up.

Sometimes, those ladders come out with washing, because the yarn will plump up a little after it gets wet.  I get those too sometimes, so I feel ya.  If you were using dpns to work the gusset, that gap pops up between the needles from the stitches being under tension at the needle intersections.

Good job on your first pair!  I hope it was fun and you make some more!
7  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Spring '07 Knitty is up! on: March 07, 2007 06:06:21 PM
Those socks patterns are love.  I've been wanting to make some knee highs, and the space invaders socks might push me into colorwork sock territory.  I might even get them done in a decent amount of time!

Well, maybe.  But I really liked this issue.  I printed a mini book's worth of patterns today from it.  Now I actually know someone that could use that Vestee pattern, so I can make a baby sweater and get the sweater accomplished feeling without working at it too long Cheesy
8  Ohio / Ohio: Central / Re: yarn at Schottensteins on: January 28, 2007 02:14:09 PM
Thanks for the tip.  Is that the Schottensteins on Innis?  That's the only one on the Northside I know.  Innis and Westerville Rd, that's the closest one to me, in any case.

9  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Entrelac Scarf in SWS on: January 18, 2007 08:58:27 PM
That's a gorgeous scarf.  I have SWS in Natural Plum sitting around I haven't used yet, just swatched a little.  I might have to make me one of these...
10  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Easy & fast Nintendo DS & DS lite socks with link to pattern! on: January 08, 2007 06:54:11 PM
I got a DS Lite for Christmas too.  They're great!  Much portable electronic cozy love Smiley
