1  Squares collage 6 (last one!) in Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by daisymae2 on: September 20, 2010 07:16:10 PM
I'm new to Craftster, so I'm posting some older projects that I've done. This is number 6 from a series of collages that I made from pages of magazines that I cut up and pasted together.

7  Interlocking squares and bars cross-stitch in Needlework: Completed Projects by daisymae2 on: September 18, 2010 02:12:28 PM
The fourth, and last, of my older cross-stitch projects. The square is a little stretched to one side in the photo... This one was done in 2009 and was also based on a (I think) Japanese geometric design. I used metallic thread mixed in with the pink for two of the squares and that stuff is a pain in the butt to work with! I don't think you can see it in the photo though.

8  Interlocking squares cross-stitch in Needlework: Completed Projects by daisymae2 on: September 18, 2010 02:01:56 PM
This is the third of my older projects I'm posting here (I'm new to Craftster). I stitched this one in 2009. I had just finished watching Season 2 of Project Runway on DVD, and I was inspired by the colors that Santino Rice used in his clothes, so I picked these colors with his work in mind.

9  Interwoven stripes cross-stitch in Needlework: Completed Projects by daisymae2 on: September 18, 2010 01:55:39 PM
I'm new to Craftster and have a few older projects that I'd like to post. This is the second of them, stitched in 2008. I based it on an old geometric pattern I found (don't remember where, but I think it was maybe from a book of Japanese designs??). I used variegated floss on some of the squares and stitched them diagonally. I really like how that turned out. The photo doesn't really show how rich the colors are. It looks better in person.  Smiley

10  Japanese-crest-inspired cross-stitch 1 in Needlework: Completed Projects by daisymae2 on: September 18, 2010 01:24:17 PM
I just found out about Craftster, and now I want to post a few projects that I've done in the last few years. This is the first big project I did back in 2008. I had been doing paper collages using little squares to form a bigger pattern and it hit me that it would be cool to use the same concept for cross-stitch, so I came up with this.
