Holy Monster Teeth!  Wait until yall see what I got in the mail today!!!

First some lovely Tshirts for my boyfriend:

Ryan is also modeling the very cool crochet eyeball in that last pic.  You may also notice that he is wearing the eyeball Tshirt, because he IMMEDIATELY put it on after seeing it..  I think we have a new favorite folks!  lol...  He also threw the eyeball plush at me right after this pic was taken. lol...  Men will turn anything into a projectile!

Next up we have an amazing eyeball monster sculpture!
and here it is above the fireplace, were it belongs:

Next up(I KNOW, so much stuff!!) we have a cute little monster on a oven mit, nomming it up!  Nom nom nom....

it's so much cuter than the dumb one that we have with a palm tree on it... and burn marks.  lol.  She also sent two matching towels to go with it!  I think I might embroider them:

And last but not least in any way possible is the worlds cutest lady monster!

SO FREAKING CUTE!  I love her!  and she's so soft, and I love her colors, and I love her cute dress... I just love her!

Thank you, thank you, thank you so much TangledUpNBlue!  You're amazing!

4  help me finish this bracelet!! in Beads: Discussion and Questions by glitter_is_good on: March 01, 2011 09:31:51 PM
I've been working on this bracelet the past few nights, but I can't stop thinking that there might be something lacking in the design.

What do you think?  Does it need something more?  Suggestions?  I love the colors, but I can't get that nagging feeling out of me!

thanks Smiley

Just started playing with polymer about 4 days ago. .lots of fun, but really tricky to work with!

Here are the few things that I have made thus far.. they aren't baked yet, and stupidly I took them outside and took pics by my tree with was shedding that day..ugh.

Smiley
Not sure what these are.. I just tried to make something pretty.. they are all very tiny, about 1 inch or less.

This is supposed to be a tiny lizard sleeping in a flower..

8  Robot with a terrarium in its head! in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by glitter_is_good on: February 21, 2011 05:40:18 PM
I'm in an advanced sculpture class this semester and our first assignment was to create a piece based on a technique that we had learned in intro to sculpture.  I chose plaster, even though we only used it once the semester before(!)

I decided that I wanted to make a robot figure, with plants growing in his head... I decided on a sketch and then went to work carving the figure's pieces from styrofoam.  I then put everything together with dowels and lots of glue and then covered everything in plaster... I then carved and sanded everything down and added dirt, plants, and a glass bowl onto his cranium.  I'm really happy with how he turned out, though I still have to paint him(and finish fixing some structural issues...*sigh*)

Anywho, I now present to you, Robot with a terrarium in his head!  (no working title as of yet..)

and here he is sitting on the table surrounded by styrofoam parts and other carvings in the works(there is actually dirt and grass in the pizza box...lol:

And here's the side:

And here's a close-up of the super cool grass and moss and stuff that is actually growing in his head.. btw, this stuff has been under glass for about a week now and it's still going strong!:

Thanks!  Q & C welcome Smiley

10  Cupcake Monster! in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by glitter_is_good on: January 19, 2011 06:11:18 AM
My friend Michelle works in a cupcake shop and asked me to do some paintings for the shop.  I said, "Sure!"  and this is my favorite of the two that I painted.  It's 11" x 14" and done with just regular acrylics.

I give you, Cupcake Monster Attacking Colley Avenue!

Colley Ave, is the street that the cupcake shop is located on.  It was a lot of fun to paint, and really helps with my efforts to de-stash paint!
