This made me smile. The muffin joke is my favorite.  Grin  Looks great in pink!
2  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Re: Office Chair Make Over on: July 15, 2008 01:51:56 PM
This turned out so well! I love the pop of floral on the back.  Grin

I've had thoughts to do my office chair as well, but I'm terrified. How complicated is complicated to you? Did you wrap over existing fabric or rip it out? I've never upholstered anything, and I'm not sure I can ruin a perfectly good office chair because I thought it was ugly, hah.

I'm so glad you're already using stuff Estrata! Smiley Wow, I almost didn't remember what all I put in that box...
4  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Cabled hat & Irish hiking scarf on: November 21, 2007 09:21:28 AM
Nope, it doesn't curl at the edges at all, even without the fringiness. This is my third in this pattern, and I just started another! The yarn is TLC Essentials worsted in LT Celery (100% acrylic). Glad you all like it!

I love this so much that I'm going to my library right now to get the pattern!  Grin
6  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Cabled hat & Irish hiking scarf on: November 19, 2007 04:42:44 PM
So, it's been a little chilly this past week (40-50s), and I thought I'd knit myself up a hat and scarf for the winter. Too bad it was 65 and sunny today!

Cabled hat (this pattern)

The pattern calls for size 7 or 8 dpns, but I sadly didn't have any, so I used 10s instead. Which is why it's slightly larger than I'd like and not quite as tight as desired. But I'll wear it all winter anyhow. Smiley

And the scarf to match (which actually came first)

I really love cables.  Grin

I'm so happy! Oneredboot claimed me for some pillowcovers to dress my nakie pillowforms, and she made me these beauties. I love them so so much. The colors, the fabrics, the stripes--I love it all.

They fit perfectly, nice and snug.

And they match my loveseat! How wonderful!

Thanks so much, oneredboot!
8  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Ongoing Wish Swap 28 on: November 11, 2007 04:16:07 PM
I claim Estrata for my interpretation of a box o' crafty supplies. Smiley This is my first claim.

I live in IL, USA.

My name's Natalie, and I'm 23. I'm in library school, finally finding some time to craft again. I love corduroy, natural colors, and anything functional. I'm ridiculously obsessed with squirrels, and I'm madly in love with autumn. It's hard for me to list off my loves, so just ask. Smiley

I've listed my wishes in order of most desired.

Knit hat and/or gloves to match the scarf I'm about to finish. I kinda like this popcorn stitch hat.

Black necklace (see Wists)

Pillow covers: I just bought two 16in x 16in pillow forms, and I'm not inspired to make my own covers.

Seat cushions: I have four very beautiful but very hard dining room chairs that could use some cushy love. Perhaps with straps to tie them to the backs?

Wallet: I'd like one with a vinyl window, zippered change pocket, credit card slots, and a long money slot. Fancy, I know!

Crochet capelet (see Wists)

Large tote: I have many plain totes that you can get free from just about anywhere, but not enough handmade with love ones. I like 'em big for when I return mounds of library books. Smiley Ooh, a felted one with lining would be awesome!

Necklace holder: Something to get them untangled and out of my drawer.

These are super-wishes; I'll add more later if I stall things.

I whole-heartedly agree with the others--she is perfect as is.  Grin

Hmm, no, and I don't think I know what that is. Explain? Or link?
