jaami received the armwarmers I knitted for her awhile ago, so I thought I'd flaunt my own work as they were the first pair I ever made. (:

One has a yellow stripe on top, the other a blue/green--it was a serendiptious occurrence. (:

I have pictures! I received my goodies from RobynLisa on Friday, and I love everything! She sent a coloring book, many Disney picture books, lots of stickers, sunflower cutouts that I think I'll turn into coasters, sharing is caring cards and my favorite--erasers!

These stickers will be put to good use tomorrow while I'm grading papers. (:

Look at how many books she sent! They are adorable and will be a nice addition to my little library.

Thanks again, RobynLisa! I got to use my first eraser today while taking my certification test. (:

I received the most awesome handmade journal from fadeawaydreams today!

I absolutely LOVE it!

I adore it all. It's too pretty to use! I have no idea what I'm going to use it for now.  Grin

Thanks so much, Natalie! You're the best journal maker ever.  Smiley

Oh yay! I'm so glad you love it so much. Perhaps it could be a scrapbook of sorts? I'm sure you can find something to do with it! (: It has about 200 pages, and it's 6inx6in, in case anyone was wondering. Oh and here are some more pics because I have to take pictures of everything I make--they're so hard to let go! I imagine this is how parents feel when their kids get married, lol.

I received all three of my wishes yesterday! Penguino made me these beautiful stitch markers and adorable cards (with matching envelopes) to write goodbye notes to my little third graders at the end of the school year. I love the animal cards. (:

The star, leaves, and the lemon are my favorites. (:

I'm making more of these once I find some fun cards. (:

And! Kittykill sent me an oh-so-soothing heat pack/pillow thing for my terrible neckaches. I tried it out last night--wowie! It put me right to sleep. (:

And the fabric is just my style! Thanks again, penguino and kittykill! (:

My swap angel, sedrasmom, made sure I did not get flaked on as I just received my wonderful knitting tote last week. I hope she doesn't mind that I show off her handiwork. Wink I absolutely adore it! It combines all of my favorites--earthy colors, corduroy, buttons, pockets, and floral print! Thanks again, sedrasmom!

icrispyi told me she received her package a few days ago, so I thought I'd post some pics.

Messenger bag and scarf:

The messenger bag is a navy blue corduroy with a mint green fleece cutout of a snail with a striped adjustable strap. The scarf is only my second knitting attempt and is not as red as it looks; it's actually more pink than red from what I remember.

Inside of bag (to see how big it is!):

I hope you enjoy them both, icrispyi. (:

28  Corduroy Jordy Bag in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by fadeawaydream on: July 30, 2005 11:13:17 PM
Am I the only one that loves corduroy?

My first attempt at making a Jordy bag, to be used for classes that do not require enough materials to fit in a backpack. It measures (lwh) 12in x 4.5in x 9in. The outside is a beige corduroy and the lining is a floral print quilting fabric. It has two beige square velcro closures and a pocket to fit my cell phone, wallet, and some writing utensils. I love love love it. Cheesy

29  Re: Bead Soup Swap in The Swap Gallery by fadeawaydream on: July 30, 2005 01:04:14 PM
After many hours of sorting and organizing, I decided to take some pics of the wonderful beads that Annette sent me before they all got lost in my own bead stash. (: She sent a gallon sized bag filled with beads, and I had the pleasure of organizing them into my little craft box thing. Here are some pictures of the great beads I received, but there are many more that escaped to various other bead organizers and such. (:

Thanks again, Annette!

No need to be sorry craftykate! Swap angels can take as long as they want. (: Thank YOU so much for sending me stuff! I just received my package and was all smiles. (: I LOVE the short scarf (what a great color! perfect for fall.) as well as the purse and awesome tree pen. The colors of the purse are also completely me, so it's definitely something I will use!

Thanks again!
